@Larry Satchwell yes, a friend of mine had a lot of house damage. They completely lost some barns and garage. His car was in the garage. I'm sure it's totaled. Their neighbor and her son were both killed. You hear a lot of different things, but I think we only had 4 deaths. 1 is too many, but could have been a lot worse.

I thought the printed instructions were very poorly written. If it hadn't been for your video, the set up would have been extreemly frustrating. Or maybe I'm just a Luddite. Once I get the camera charged, sync'ed and installed, I'll revisit my comments a give an update. Thanks for your help!

I can understand your frustration. I had trouble trying to get it set up on my iPad. Once I switched to my phone it was easier. Hope everything works out for you, it takes great videos and live streams. Good luck

Hey Larry - I got one for Christmas and the set up was as easy as you mention and I have great vision even in low light. It provides me a notification that "something" just provided moment. All of that is cool ... what is missing for me is I want it to begin filming the moment it sees something, otherwise by the time I respond to a momement notification, the bird is long gone. Is there a setting where it automatically begins filming? I am at a loss.

As long as you have NOT formatted the SD card, when you open the app, look at the bottom of the screen for an ^ symbol. Tap it and you should see a playback. If you tap it you should be able to see every video the camera captured. Hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need further information. Larry

I wish you had shown how you charged the battery, both with camera apart from the feeder and when it is in the feeder.

I’m sorry. There is no need to take the camera out to charge it, I never do. Tilt the camera forward and down. You’ll see the top of the camera. It should have a rubber cover on it. Take the cover off and you’ll see a port similar to what you see on any phone or other device that needs charging. I usually charge it over night when I initially charge it. Unless it’s in the shade the solar panel will charge it from then on. I have not charged mine since I installed it. If it’s in the shade just bring it in and repeat the steps above. Hope this helps. @@kathleenm7273 I’m sorry this happened. Have you contacted support? I don’t work for them, I just did the review. There should be a screw in the back of the plastic that holds the camera in. Contact support right away, when I was setting up my feeder they were very helpful.

The batteries are in the camera, impossible to get to. You should be able to see the battery is charged. I just got home from an 8 hour drive. I’ll try to explain it better tomorrow.

Yes if you set it up that way. If I remember correctly, I haven't looked at it on some time, it will automatically start taking video. I think you can set it up in the settings to take a photo and a picture.

I have never tried those but one of my daughters has one at her house and really enjoys it. As for it being a good idea, I’m not sure but it works for her with no problems

Sorry, after thinking about my last response, I don't think I answered you question, was this a good deal. These type camera birdfeeders are expensive. All are over $200. This one has a built in solar panel that is doing a great job with keeping the battery charged. It just depend on how much you like to watch these little creatures do their thing as to whether or not it's a good match for you. Hope this helps

How do you get the camera out to recharge it if there is not enough sun for solar?

Unfortunately the camera doesn’t come out. LK bird was one of the earliest of these types of feeders. Other companies have figured out how to make them removable. You will need to take the feeder off of the bracket and bring the entire feeder in the house. Otherwise you could take a long extension cord and charge it that way

No not really close. Once you have the camera set up you can take it to where you want to put it and check the signal on the app. Mine shows the signal is weak but it still captures everything.

I put into my computer and look at the file. Highlight all the videos and click the trash can or delete. When asked if I want to delete all a click yes. I have run into problems trying to clear sd cards that comes with some feeders. No matter what I try to do they are formatted in such a way that I can’t clear them no matter what I try to do.

@@carynpollock4150 if it is a micro card you need an adapter. I use my laptop. I haven't had a bigger computer for years. Maybe a friend or relative has a computer that will work. Most of these cameras come with at least a three day cloud loop that you can record from onto you tablet or laptop.

How do you turn the camera off completely? No matter the position of the switch on the camera, I still get the video feed/notifications on the app, so it seems like it's permanently on. Is there another way?

I don’t think you can turn it off. If you leave it in a place where the solar panel doesn’t get sunlight the battery will eventually run out and then it will turn off. You can turn off the notifications in the settings. I would try asking support, they will know how to turn it off

The reset button went bad on mine also. The only thing you can do is contact the company and ask them for support or a replacement. Sorry I can’t be of more help

What I have received and what you are describing are two different things. I received no memory card nor any recharger cord. When I looked for the QR cord on the box, there was none. There were three different QR codes that said to use for instructions. One connected me to ViceHome and the other to Dulcety. These were the only QR codes. I signed in with the ViceHome but it is a completely different setup then Bird Lover. Did I receive the wrong box? Who should I contact to get the problem resolved?

Do you know how to turn off the motion alarm without turning off the video camera? The alarm is useless, the squirrels ignore it completely and keep on eating the bird seed. I would like to be able to get video recordings without the alarm going off.

I think this should do it. Above the picture when you open the app are three symbols an envelope, and six sided figure and a box with an arrow. Click on the six sided figure and it will take you to settings. Look for alarm settings and open it, turn off both flashlight and audible settings.

Not exactly sure what you’re asking. Without WiFi it’s just another bird feeder. No need to buy such an expensive bird feeder if you’re just going to feed the birds and not use the camera feature. To use the AI recognition and video capture you have to use WiFi. Hope this helps. On second thought, several minutes later….the SD card will hold the video and photos I think. I’ve never tried it.

It only takes videos. Once you have a video, you can take a picture when you are playing the video back. DO NOT FORMAT THE SD CARD. I need a little more information to be able to help you. You have the account set up? You’ve paired the camera with the QR code? You have a 2.something G (I can never remember) WiFi connection?
