The rebuild process is well underway after our crash at the Circuit of Ireland

As I'm sure you can understand, we are well behind with editing process for the rebuild videos as the priority is to get the car finished first and back out onto the stages as soon as possible. Was going to start painting my RC race car in memory of baby blue this weekend but now we are getting a sneak peak at a rebuild ,I will hold off so it's right up to date when I get the custom decals made up 😄👍

Wow that has been some amazing work to transform the damage. It’s great that all the panels are available brand new from Higgins. Thanks for showing what you’ve done so far. Can’t wait to see the next phase when Baby Blue is put back together. I’m amazed how well the main core of the car has held together. Just incredible. That’s blown me away. Great video and shows just how capable you are to tackle this rebuild project. Not many other cars 43 years out of production that you can get body panels as easy as that.... Mk2 are the backbone of rallying...

Good to see that Frank has his head screwed on correctly, personally I'd lose the plot if my assistant mechanics just wandered around clucking away all day like a couple of old chooks. I don't know if anyone else noticed how chillingly similar Craig Breen's crash was to Frank and Lauren's. I saw Craig's prior to seeing Baby Blue, and then seeing the person shaped hole in the windscreen of the Escort I thought the worst. It's an absolute tragedy with what happened to Craig Breen, but after following the mad Kelly clan for years, buying their merch and only realising that they were literally 10 minutes from where I live the day after they left following the rally here in Adelaide, South Australia. [To think, I could have shaken Baby Blue's hand and asked for an autograph - I mean Frank's hand, yeah, and HIS autograph *cough cough] Seriously though it was a shock to see what happened, and I'm glad that you two are safe and injury free. So with those chooks at Frank's side, waking him up at the crack of dawn and overseeing Baby Blue's rebuild we will be looking forward to seeing you three on the road again. Watching your crazy antics, and chuckling at the father/daughter Irish banter. Now they weren't tears in Frank's eyes at the start of the video were they, but if they were he's in good company because when Eric Bana wrote off (Love The Beast) his beloved Falcon during Targa Tasmania he was feeling very much the same way, but he was leaking from his eyes a lot more than Frank - if he was of course.
