The Little Prince was Jonghyun's favorite story. In that story there is a fox and in some cultures it represents someone sending a message from the afterlife. The fox in the story basically says that if it is important or special, you do not see it with your eyes but with your heart. So here the fox is Jonghyun and he may be gone but he will forever be in our hearts.

The Story of Light trilogy showed SHINee's maturity, artistry, feelings after going through probably their darkest episode in life. Starting with Good Evening, they mentioned that it has something to do with how others looked at them. It also showed how they went through the 5 stages of grief - denial (them just looking dazed at the start), anger (Key hitting and destroying the piano), bargaining, depression (their sombre looks) and acceptance (their smile at the end knowing that they have to continue their dreams and that Jonghyun will forever be apart of them). Throughout the MV, there are many symbolism or traces of Jonghyun eg; the little fox from his favourite book. At the end when all of them were looking into the well, there is another shadow in the well showing that although we can only see 4 members with the plain eyes, SHINee is forever 5 and Jonghyun continues to live and be apart of them. Moving on to 'I Want You', you are absolutely right, it is a continuation from Good Evening. It tells how they see themselves. When they are just within the five of them, they can really be themselves - the chaotic, playful dorks that loves each other tremendously. Our Page is written by the members and is dedicated to Jonghyun. It seems like they are speaking directly to him and also made a promise to him to continue realising the dreams of 5 young boys and making sure that his legacy will forever be protected and live on. The MV really portrayed the state of the 4 members after the incident. Dazed, soul-less, empty, just watching as time passes by. Even for Minho who was only given a couple of days off to handle the funeral and had to return to filming his movie right away seemed emotionless no matter how hard he tried to focus. The pearl aqua light is indeed a sign of support they get from Jonghyun, their family members, their colleagues and ultimately Shawols who gave them the courage to comeback and continue building their legacy. Towards the end, you can hear Onew whispered 'you did well' - a phrase Jonghyun wanted to hear in his final message he sent to his sister.

In the lyrics of our page, there was a part where it says "네가 남겨둔 예쁜 말들이, 한편에 시가 되어 노래가 되고" it refers to how his dream was to become a poet and an artist, that's how his words become a poem and a song. He actually released a novel and his solo songs are all also written by himself❤

This album was released not long after Jonghyun passed away. Good Evening, I Want You and Our Page are part of the same trilogy. According to the group itself, Good Evening is about how others view them and I Want You is about the group's view of themselves. You can easily see a lot of reference to Jonghyun in all 3 songs. In Good Evening and I Want You, the references are subtle and unless you've been their fans for a long time and know their story its not easy to catch the references, so if you want to know about it maybe you can check the comment under the MVs. But in Our Page the lyrics are really straight-forward in mentioning Jonghyun. Till today, i usually avoid listening to Our Page on my own accord bcs it makes me cry every single fucking time. Thanks for the video 💚

The Story of Light is just one love song after another to our Jonghyun. I love it so much, even though it makes me cry. The videos from TSOL are in many ways heartbreaking. I'm not convinced I Want You is full of joy, even though that's how it's seen by non-Shawols. It was good to see the bts for Our Page in SHINee's Back (actually all of SHINee's Back) where we can see them laughing and being happy and loving Jjongie from afar. they wrote the lyrics to Our Page as well. Finally, I love Countless. Another song for Shawols - I highly recommend reading the lyrics. The book Minho's reading is David Edding's Ruby Knight, which I've not read and can't remember the story of, but there is Meaning to it. What I love about TSOL is that I think everyone (media,non-shawols) were waiting for an album of tragedy p*rn and SHINee said Not Us. They did their comeback on their own terms. I adore them even more for that.

To understand SHINee's "Good Evening" MV what you need to know is that it had only been about 6 months when this MV came out since Jonghyun died, and this song and MV is all about how SHINee and Shawols have been grieving and are finally ready to begin to heal and come out of the darkness into the light. The album is called The Story of Light and it's all about finding the light out of the darkness, etc. It's about how the members are learning to continue on without Jonghyun and find happiness and light in a situation that will forever be difficult. May 25, 2018, when this MV was released, was SHINee's 10th anniversary so this was also important because it was a comeback to commemorate their 10 years as a group. The choreography for "Good Evening" is very deliberate. The reason the choreography is like that is because it depicts them going through the grieving process and it tells the story of all the emotions they went through and how, now at the end, they have made the choice to continue on as a group and keep on running, etc. The dance is all choreographed, but SHINee are just so good that they make it look like its freestyle. :D The choreography is really complex and beautiful and really fits the song well. It becomes clearer once you see it in its entirety and start to understand the story behind it all. You really should check out SHINee's dance practice video for "Good Evening" to see the full choreography. Fun fact: the choreographer for SHINee's "Good Evening" was the choreographer who was featured in Taemin's "Move" MV, as well as several of Taemin's other songs. She is a famous Japanese choreographer who has known Taemin for years, so it was really special she was able to work on this project because she got to be a part of SHINee's healing process. In the MV, not only is the extra shadow that appears when they look into the tunnel/well at the end speculated to be Jonghyun's shadow, but the fox is thought to also represent him. Onew intensely stares into the eyes of the fox, almost as if he is communicating with the fox through his thoughts, and, to me, it's as if he is sharing a moment with Jonghyun. There is a fox in the story "The Little Prince" and "The Little Prince' was one of Jonghyun's favorite stories. The image of the man behind them is the author of the book "The Little Prince." Plus, a fox often represents the afterlife and the spirit of someone who has passed on reincarnated in many cultures. Also in the beginning you may notice an empty chair. An empty chair is often used to represent the spirit of someone who has passed on as well. But that's just a small portion of the hidden messages within this MV. If you really delve in deep you will discover that the whole MV can be connected to SHINee forever being 5 members and them including Jonghyun in all that they do. There are 5 trees at the end which could represent the fact that, as Onew has said, even though you may only see 4 members on stage, SHINee will forever be a group of 5. They are in a room full of cameras and their images are being projected on the TV screens, which I see as representing the fact that because SHINee is living in the public eye they can never escape from always being watched by the public. Which doesn't allow them the private space to really grieve and to express themselves privately and they are always being judged (both the members in their grieving process and what Jonghyun had to go through and what ultimately led him to feeling the way he did, etc.) This MV used a lot of green and aqua blue light to depict the cool and somber feel of the story, but it also was used because, as I think you know, aqua blue/green is SHINee's fan color, and it was used to represent Jonghyun's presence all around them and the support and solidarity they felt with their fans, Shawols. The story in the MV is showing the 5 stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance) the members went through and how they have now at the end of the MV started to find their way out of it and have made the choice to continue to keep on running and continue on as a group, etc.. But I could go on and on ... every part of this MV has a deeper message and meaning, you just have to open yourself up to the fact that everything in this MV has multiple meanings and purposes. You see Minho with those oranges, which is really just a giant pile of orange peels, because this part is supposed to depict how he is blindly just going through life, not even able to process what is happening around him. He is not even looking at the peels. It is like his body and mind is on autopilot. If you notice none of the members ever make eye contact with the camera the entire MV and even in their live performances of the song, you will never see them look at the camera. This was done deliberately as well because they wanted to show how in their grief they were blind to everything that was going on around them and they were closed off to the world and didn't care what was happening outside of themselves even though the world was watching their every move. The part where Key smashes the piano is only one example of of how SHINee shows how they felt for a while after Jonghyun died -- they were angry at everything, including music, and in a way they were blaming "music" and their careers for what happened and in the MV they were taking their anger out on the piano, etc. The plastic sheet and them flailing under water is supposed to represent how they felt suffocated in their grief and how grieving while in the public eye made them feel trapped at times, etc. Every scene, every image, every movement in their dance, every look, every moment they stand still or look blankly, etc. is very deliberate and is there for a reason. This comeback is part of a three part release celebrating SHINee's 10th anniversary. So they released 3 mini albums with 5 songs each in their The Story of Light trilogy and they had 3 comebacks each 2 weeks apart to showcase their lead track on each of their albums. "Good Evening" and "All Day All Night" were their comeback tracks from Episode 1, " I Want You" and "Who Waits for Love" were their comebacks from Episode 2 and Episode 3 was "Our Page" and "Tonight". Their comeback lasted 6 weeks to represent the fact that it was SHINee's 6th "full length" album. We were so spoiled this comeback; it felt so nice to see them doing what they love again. At the end of the six weeks they released a special final MV to celebrate their anniversary and all they have been through over the past 10 years with their song "Countless." "Countless" was an epilogue track that was added to their repackaged Story of Light album. Before this comeback SHINee had just come off their SHINee World Concert V (SWC5) world tour and the members were doing solo activities as they worked on what was going to be an epic 10th anniversary comeback. With Jonghyun's passing, that set them back a few months because they were grieving. It also took time to figure out how they were supposed to function without Jonghyun. But you also should know that, actually, SHINee never really stopped working. Two months after Jonghyun died SHINee held their SHINee World -- The Best from Now On Concert in Japan and they pretty much were working nonstop since then until their enlistment. That concert had originally been planned as part of their 10th anniversary celebration and it had already been sold out. So SHINee felt obligated to honor their fans and continue the concert despite everything, which meant some extra work, because they already had been planning everything with Jonghyun. So they had to quickly go back to the drawing board and figure out how to do it with only 4 members and still honor Jonghyun's memory. In SHINee's fan meeting/concert for their 10th anniversary the members all vowed that SHINee will always be 5 and that Jonghyun will always be involved in everything they do. And during the concert when they performed the choreo for some of their most iconic songs they intentionally left Jonghyun's spot open and only filled in for him when something just wouldn't work without someone in that position. I think we are always going to have reminders of him in all that SHINee does from now on, and that is the way it should be. He was loved and will never be forgotten, and when possible, should always be involved in things that have to do with SHINee. OT5 forever and ever. I think we can feel Jonghyun's presence and influence in this album and songs because a lot of what made SHINee's sound uniquely SHINee (and this album is no exception) was because of Jonghyun. He not only shaped SHINee's sound because he was the main vocal of the group, but he also wrote and composed around 40% of SHINee's songs, so he can be felt in everything they do. It wouldn't be SHINee if we didn't hear his influence shine through in their music, that is what makes SHINee's sound so unlike any other. I think from now on we will always be searching for the hidden messages and moments that represent Jonghyun in everything SHINee does.

And to understand "Our Page," as you discovered, you need to really pay attention to the lyrics. I feel like, out of all Kpop songs in existence, this is one of the most important songs to know what the lyrics are about. Every word of the song was wrote by the members and it is all about Jonghyun. The lyrics make reference to things that Jonghyun said to them in the letter he left them when he died. Every word is talking about their relationship as a group and their relationship with Jonghyun. The song and lyrics are a tribute to him and the more than 10 years the members spent together as a group. In the MV the members are just trying to go about their everyday lives in a world that no longer makes sense to them. It is showing them grieving Jonghyun's death. This song is very powerful and full of meaning. The message each of them sings about is very personal to them, it's about their journey as a group and how much impact Jonghyun had in their life. And, as the members have said, it's about all the things they wish they could have told Jonghyun, etc. "Our Page" is epic because it should be epic. It was the song that made Shawols feel like it was finally OK to start to get back to a little bit of normal again. It was a moment of collective catharsis for everyone within the fandom and it showed us that the members were finally ready to get back to what they loved and they were more dedicated then ever to continue on as a group. I feel like people miss so much of the meaning and story in the MV if you don't know what the lyrics are about. Don't worry, you're not supposed to hold your emotions in during this song. The whole point of the song was to allow us all to grieve and to find closure, etc. It's OK to cry, it's meant to be emotional. In the MV, in the beginning you see each of the members struggling just to carry on with everyday life. But because they have no other choice, they all decide that the only way to honor Jonghyun's memory is to continue on. So you see Onew get back to composing songs (Jonghyun was the songwriter of the group so, this scene also is supposed to invoke memories of him as well), Taemin goes back to the gym (Jonghyun also spent a lot of time in the gym, so this was also Taemin's way of connecting with Jonghyun.) Minho is one of the top actors in Korea and when Jonghyun died he was on set filming for a drama, so we see Minho trying to get back to his normal routine and back to filming. And Key is one of the members, besides Taemin, who is known for his dancing, so you see him getting back to the dance studio and practicing the choreography for his solo debut album. Fun fact: We didn't know that what we saw in this MV was a secret reveal of Key's choreography for his solo releases, but since then, now that Key's solo album and MVs have come out, we realize that this was the choreography for one of his solo songs. The background beat of the song is supposed to represent the heartbeat of the group, the heartbeat of the fans, everything that kept the members moving forward and what brings them together as a group, etc. Every part of this song was done very purposefully and deliberately. Yet again, the green/aqua blue light you see all around them is SHINee's fan color, and it represents how Jonghyun is always all around them and how he is calling them back to the stage. The light washes over the members representing how the fans' love, support and solidarity within the fandom gives the members the strength to carry on and to continue as a group. At one point you see each of the members standing still in a room while the world around them continues on. This represents how their world came to a standstill when Jonghyun died and how for a while it felt like their world stopped while everyone else continued living their lives. As they climb the stairs to the stage you see the lights come on one by one, I like to think that was each of the fans sending their support to encourage them to keep moving forward. And then once on stage you see the members all standing on stage with the one empty mic stand in the center that represents Jonghyun. Fun fact: Just like SHINee's "1 Of 1" MV was 5:25 long because it was supposed to represent how SHINee debuted 5/25/08, "Our Page" was 5:10 long because it was a reference to the fact that SHINee will forever be a group of 5 and this album is celebrating their 10th anniversary. So, this album, The Story of Light, is all about Jonghyun and every song has something to do with what they went through in the 6 months leading up to this album release, etc. "Good Evening" is about SHINee's grieving process and the way the public sees them. "I want you" Is about learning to find happiness again and how they are personally dealing with everything that happened and "Our Page" is the members telling their story and what they want the world to know about them as a group and what they will remember and miss the most about Jonghyun, etc. And "Countless" is showing how SHINee has now come out on the other side and is now ready to start to move on.

Still can't see that one empty mic without shedding a few tears. And the lyrics are so moving. I grew up with SNSD, Shinee, f(x), Kara and others, and I don't remember the chronological order but Jessica's departure from SNSD, and then the passing of Jonghyun, Sulli and Hara felt like the breaking of a happy era to me. For a while I couldn't understand it. How could things go so wrong? Now I just worry every time someone says they're having a hard time. What if the next time I see them on the news is because it finally got to be too much? And it's not just people in the entertainment industry, especially in these times. Take a moment to check in on your friends and family regularly, tell them you love them, give them a hand or lend them an ear if they need it. We can't do anything for these distant kpop idols or celebrities, but we can at least support the people close to us.

Lyrics of Our Page is written by SHINee, and I can only imagine how they poured their hearts out in writing that song for Jonghyun. Our page is outright tribute to him, and yes from how I interpret it, the pearl aqua light represents us, SHINee World, giving them strength, calling unto them and helping them pick themselves up and as such they are able to perform again, wtih Jonghyun still being there with them. While Good Evening is also about the stages of grief they went thru, showing their frustrations, being enclosed in that room where they can be themselves and feel what needs to be felt, before finally being happy again (key smiling in the forest probably feeling Jjong's presence). The dance also picked up in the end, as compared to a bit restrained at the start. Thank you for this. Ready for D-day!💎

Yes, the story in SHINee's "I Want You" MV is connected to the story in their "Good Evening" MV. "Good Evening" is about the grieving process and how the members all dealt with Jonghyun's death in the public eye. In "I Want You" it's a continuation of that story, however, now it's about how the members are learning to find happiness again. Like in Alice in Wonderland, where Alice follows the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole and discovers a magical wonderland. In the "I want you" MV the members follow the fox (which is supposed to represent Jonghyun) into the magical well on a journey to find happiness. The fox represents Jonghyun's spirit as he helps guide the rest of SHINee through life. You also see SHINee in space catching diamonds because the diamonds represent SHINee, Shawols and Jonghyun. SHINee's symbol is a diamond and the group was given the name SHINee because the members shine like stars. They are collecting diamonds to show just how important the group and everything to do with SHINee is to them. Jonghyun is now our "Diamond in the Sky." One reason SHINee are in space is thought to be because being in space is closer to Heaven and closer to Jonghyun. Plus, Jonghyun really loved the moon. It was even said that the moon turned a pearl aqua color -- SHINee's fan color -- the day of Jonghyun's funeral. And fans took comfort in the fact that this meant that his spirit had made it to Heaven and that he was now at peace. This MV is supposed to show how SHINee sees themselves and how they are dealing with everything that happened, which is different than how in "Good Evening" they feel the general public sees them. Everything from SHINee's Story of Light album is linked and the entire album is about different things to do with Jonghyun and the journey they have been on for the past 10 years, etc. And even Key's solo debut album and Onew's solo debut are sort of connected to these MVs.

"Countless" is the epilogue track on SHINee's repackaged The Story of Light album as part of their 10th anniversary celebrations and it's supposed to represent how they are finally ready to move on and get back to being the artists we know them as. Blue flowers, when equated with a message usually stand for love and inspiration, and when presenting someone with blue flowers you are telling them you will stay loyal and passionate about them. In "Countless" I see SHINee presenting blue flowers to use Shawols saying, they are promising to stay true and loyal to use and to keep the passion they have as a group alive -- they are promising to keep on working hard to give us their best. Which is fitting because "Countless" was the song that helped to bring their message in their Story of Light album to a close and showed us that they will continue on and work even harder continue theirs and Jonghyun's legacy, etc. Plus, as you know, pearl aqua/blue/green, is SHINee's fan color so there are always blue images and blue colors in their MVs. Blue has a lot of important messages when it comes to SHINee. Taemin's style of singing, especially in SHINee songs, is a lot like Jonghyun. And as you have seen with their songs, such as "Why So Serious?," Taemin fills in for Jonghyun whenever Jonghyun was unable to participate in a performance. And even today, Taemin often takes over the high notes and the parts that I think would probably have been Jonghyun's parts in their new songs, as you hear with "Countless." Jonghyun was the one that really took Taemin under his wing and helped him to become the singer that he is today. So, many think that Taemin's voice emulates Jonghyun because he is the one that taught Taemin to sing. Jonghyun always has been Taemin's biggest supporter and the one that rooted for him the hardest and loudest out of anyone. Fun fact: The slit in Key's eyebrow is not intentional, it's a scare. He used to cover it up with makeup, but over time he has just decided not to worry about it anymore. Also, I think Key's short hairstyle for this comeback was his form or rebellion and his way of starting fresh and starting to move on after Jonghyun's death. He surprised us all by all of a sudden going on VLive and shaving his hair all off right before the start of their 10th anniversary promotions. It happened to work out well for him because he had to cut his hair short for the military anyway. So, he just gave himself and everyone almost a year to get used to his short haircut.

@@robinharris1224 Yes his cutting his hair did coincide with the movie or drama he was in, but I still think it wasn't wholly done just for the movie. I think it all just happened to work out that way. :D He agreed to cut his hair for the show because he was ready for a change/ the producers decided a whole new hairstyle would work well for his character.

To me it made more sense the light was Jonghyun because shawols tend to say he is on the moon watching over and the members are outside looking up. I feel like that's more soothing.

Despite not being apart of the shawol family before jonghyuns passing, our page holds so much emotion that puts me to tears everytime. Even though I wasn't there to experience it first hand, I feel as if shinee really treats all of us as family and thats just something I wish I had joined sooner

Key's eyebrow slit is actually a scar. If I remember correctly someone dropped a clay pot on him when he was little or he just run into one? Something like that. And in SHINee's baby years the stylists would fill it in, that's why you didn't notice it before.

Key's eyebrow in Countless is actually just a scar he got as a kid from a broken flower pot. Sometimes he fills it in but sometimes he just lets the scar show ^^

I can't stress enough how proud they make me, and how much their hard work shows in their stellar performances, how polished their talent is at this point. As a singer it always makes me super mad when people dismiss work and study in favor of talent, treating it like "a gift", when hard work is the only way to perfect one's art, you know? And shinee are the hardest of workers. Being a shawol for so long, many many times they've inspired me to work just as hard to be better at what I do. I'm the proudest noona in the world

I remember they said that when they decided to do a concert months after Jonghyun’s death, people criticized them bc they thought shinee was trying to capitalize on his death and using it as a marketing strategy which i thought was really ridiculous bc every mourns and copes in their own way and who’s to say they weren’t ready to do something for Jonghyun or that Jonghyun wouldn’t have liked it

oh! the good evening is about how the public see them and i want you is about how they see themselves and our page mv is about them thinking about their past ten years and how they spent time grieving but the song itself is about their 10 years in general and an ode to Jonghyun they wrote our page themselves. the lights in our page are fans and the fox in all mvs is the fans n jonghyun always beside them hope I explained well

I can't say anything any better then the comments you have received. The only thing I will add is because of people's hearts our page didn't get as much views as it should have. Because the song, harmony, vocals and performance is so out of this world beautiful. My hopes are that as time goes on and jonghyuns heals people's souls the video will get more views. I think this song must mean so much to these boys and it should show. So here's to all the shawols of the world out there let shinee heal your heart and pain. Sending all my prayers to my shawol family. Because of shinee we are a family. Thank you

I like to think that even if we can only see the 4 of them on the video... I think Jjong is in the music. You can hear him if you listen well (not literally but in your heart)

Even with Taemin and Super M. Not just Taemin but even other members of Super M knew that Taemin will forever belong to Shinee. It's like Shinee is His forever home and them being in other groups is just another stroll in the park. Lol.

Good Evening is the most beautiful mv, ahh. & yes, if you only knew Taemin as a solo artist, you may not think of him as being able to fit into any group, but bc he was with SHINee for years and years and they allowed him to soar, he will always be at home there. have you been watching/listening to the daily teaser drops?! bc the visuals, um. go look. if you're avoiding spoilers just do it after tomorrow. thank me later. ;(

There's a reason most of us cannot watch the MV for Our Page or generally listen to it. I've probably watched it 5 or 6 times at most including your reaction. I have to say, yours is the only reaction I have watched to it and I'm not gonna watch any others after this. I only watched cause I knew you would be respectful and did not do it for the clicks.
