🎯💯🎯! I’ve been an LL fan since 1987 as a kid and I’m loving the LL Q-Tip album! The video he did with Eminem was 😮💨😤🔥! So nostalgic for anyone born in 60s to early 80s! Can’t wait for more videos on the songs with Nas, Busta! Damn near videos for every song! The Black Code Suite song is 🔥. I honestly like to love all of it!

People need to understand LL is 56. Think about that. 4 years from 60. Whoever your favorite rapper is, LL been there done that. He was the first superstar. He can’t rap about cars, jewelry, women and money. He did that in 80’s to 2000. The challenge is to write something new. He’s going with a sound that’s never been done. The problem with present day people, they want IG or Instant Gratification. The masses want to be pleased now. They want to get high now. Some things have to grow on you. He’s a grandfather making something new. It’s not gonna hit like heroine in your veins. It’s like working out, the results will be there if you stay with it. Give the album time. Don’t compare it to his old stuff. It’s not meant to be that. Salute to the GOAT🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤

I WANT TO HEAR WHAT LL AND DRE DID BECAUSE THEY ALBUM IS NOT ALL THAT
@misslucky54742 ай бұрын
I know it's not a production that you are used to hearing; this is a different sound. I'm not for sure, but your age might be the cause of your dissatisfaction. Your inner soul might be rejecting it because your favorite rappers are using the same beats, with the exception of a few different note arrangements, but they are still the same beats and notes, which is the reason they always use them. This album has a lot of good music, but you need to give it a chance to penetrate through the old that is locked inside of you. I know it's not the rap skill that you are rejecting; it's the music that's turning you off. It's different, but it's really good.
@koyowens13972 ай бұрын
@@misslucky5474 I'M 51 BORN IN '72. THIS ALBUM SOUNDS THE SAME ALL THE WAY THROUGH. U CAN TELL IT'S 1 PRODUCER. LL SHOULD HAVE GOT OTHER PRODUCERS AS WELL.

Ion know about that. That joint with em doesn't even sound like tip produced it. Neither does that black code
@misslucky54742 ай бұрын
@@koyowens1397Yes, it's one producer, but it is a sound that is not being utilized a lot! The sounds that you like are the ones that errbody else are using, which is my point. They use that same sound because it works, because it's already locked into your consciousness. Try to recalibrate...break thru that muphkr!

A few good tracks but the album was garbage from the album artwork to the title track. He released all the best tracks already. Big flop. The album is too short and has no real feel. I don't know what made him release this. I think this is the end now. He also sounds stressed out and bitter about his situation with Def Jam. I dont know why he's still rapping. Something not right there. Maybe the industry keeps robbing him so he looks to hold onto his legacy as a substitute. Just thinking out loud.
@richkito2 ай бұрын
I vehemently disagree with you... This is the best album LL has ever released. It's garbage to you since, forgive me, you may have a limited taste in music... If you listened to the interview, it's not always about the mainstream population, it's always how the artist feels... You can appreciate it or trash it... But remember, it's not about you at the end of the day. He made that album for the likes of us who embrace different sounds sonically and his cadence on each track was immaculate. And if you have never explored the underground hip-hop I think it's about time. And that's my two cents...
@kco4552 ай бұрын
@@richkito I didn't like it. I'm 48 and have been listening to Hip Hop a lot longer so I've seen the decline first hand. When you've seen what I've seen compared to what we see now trust me you would have the same opinion. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Trust me I wanted to like it but he made it difficult. This really should have been light work. Sorry bro 😐

Q Tip in his bag. L in his bag. Definitely fall and winter banger. Refreshing grown people hip hop. Gen X 48
@rondeisel2 ай бұрын
@kco455 This is a good conversation. I think the album is a great body of work. LL clearly challenged himself to create this artistic conceptual album. Q-Tip gave him these ecclectic sonics. The album is mature. Passion is dope. Give it another listen, bro.
@kco4552 ай бұрын
@@rondeiselI listened to it again. The problem is LL. His flow don't work on some of the decent beats he didn't release and I find myself switching off. And then on the average/ dull beats I'm just thinking what is this. There are emcees that can rhyme over static and make it sound cold. LL is not that guy. Sorry. Also, the album has a great theme but can I say that the theme was transmitted successfully.... absolutely not! 😐
