LL4D Umarex HDR50 - Installing HD24 Tuning Barrel in Umarex Carbine Kit

Well got my tuning rod today. This is the way I did it. The barrel that comes with factory I used it to make the bigger hole. Simply use the end that has no thread heat it up and slide it down the front and push till it goes through. Note you must heat it up good so it pushes through. After this the front piece can also be modified simply push the same barrel heated through the back of the front piece and use sand paper to make the hole round.keep sanding till the barrel moves freely back and forth. Operation was successful thanks and a power up :).

I have also noticed i had the tuned barrell in the HDR50 i unscrewed the front cap and it goes in perfectly with no gap between the stock carbine barrel and my tuning barrel in the HDR50. I was happy about that for now till i itch to upgrade the carbine barrel later.laser on the top and a flip up red dot both look great. Foregrip at bottom with mag holder. Thinking what to do to it next

I just built mine today i want to fit a rail on the bottom some how so we can add accessories at the bottom. I am not aure why they never add rails at the bottom of the carbine kit plent on the top

my 1 piece barrels fit with no drilling, only problem is how to get them into marker after feeding it through, if the compartment for barrel was 2 piece it would work hmmmm ....

Yes the steel is much thicker but the upside is it is two pieces.

I've got a a issue with my hdr 68 when I fire it the ammo cylinder spins instead of locking then some times it locks up for each rotation then spins again I'm abit confused with it

The barrel return spring may not be seated properly or the silver cone barrel seal may need a little lubrication. Remove your drum and put a couple of drops of silicone oil on it. Insert drum and cycle the marker checking for proper function.

Sorry you dont actually lube the drum. If you look at where the barrel sits against the drum you will see a silver cone shaped piece. Thats where you want to put the lube.

Hey so one more thing I've installed a few of these tuning runs on hdr's and every time the spring that comes with the upgraded barrel does not allow for the gun to shoot actually I used the original spring on the original barrel have you noticed that is there a reason why I'm experiencing this?

The spring is slightly conical which makes it directional. The fat end goes to the muzzle and the skinny end to the barrel stop. By chance you have it backwards?

The barrel that is installed in the kit is essentially just for looks. Yes mine was loose and i could spin it.

The included barrel is just for show. Too large and doesnt directly affix to launcher barrel leaving a gap.

I chose not to run the front cap. Tuning barrel is 3/4” diameter.

This is a pretty cool looking set up. Ingenious and resourceful as always. It must get pretty expensive though? If I hadn't already invested in the HDB68 I might be tempted. It's kinda like the HDB in many ways, except the HDB has no stock and you ca't use shaped rounds.

This started as a 7.5j. I replaced the valve with the newer gen2 which has only the co2 restrictor disk and no valve block. You could do the same with a 7.5j version by removing the valve block and adding the HD24 restrictor. Then they would be identical but i wanted the stronger threaded co2 tube.

The tuning barrel set will be short of sticking out the end which might make it difficult to screw that second extension on but would work just fine.

Yes with just the short tuning barrel in the launcher it will fit the carbine kit without any modifications but you do still have to remove the fake barrel that comes installed in the carbine. Now if you want to run an extension on the carbine only then you will have make the pass through hole in the carbine larger. Someone here in the comments heat up the fake barrel and pushed it through like my socket idea and it worked much better.

Yes. I followed in Runes foot steps here. 1mm is a slight bump in power but still maintains more than just a handful of shots although a bit misrepresented here due to my heavy projectiles. Word on the street is 1.5mm is the max one should drill to avoid farting but have 4-6 of the most powerful shots.

7.5 or 11j makes no difference in the end after removing restriction related devices. What matters more is if your launcher has the gen4 valve. The middle road versions had issues dislodging from the launcher. Either wait for the gen2 HDR50 or buy now and just purchase the updated valve from Rockstar Tactical or Jon over at Alternative Arms Self Defence KZbin channel.

Die the same 8 weeks Ago. Had it my had the kit in my hand in my local store, and thought should work pretty god, so i had to do it. I sanded the wholes out with sandpaper, but also sanded the front cap. Took forever but works pretty perfect. useing it wicht hpa through the button. God to know That the on off is not fix, almost bought it. Waiting for input how to get a better hpa soliution :) . I have the xtracer 68 on it, makes it look evil, and i just love that evecct :D Thought I was the only on who had that idea 😅

Since 🇵🇹 Portugal 🇵🇹 👍 this rifle kit that Umarex made that can be used for both the Umarex T4E HDR 50 revolver and the Umarex T4E HDP 50 pistol is really top... By chance, I had already seen videos commenting on the situation of It's not possible to put HOMEDEFENSE24 pipes in a kit, but you did it and it looks top notch, now for me I just had to put the front piece and it would look really top... In terms of the final part of the video, that situation with the HPA cylinder moving forward and backwards I didn't like it, is it like that or was there something wrongly tightened there in the cylinder connection?? If that's the case, I think HOMEDEFENSE24 would review this product. In terms of power, nothing to say good power, good numbers... 💪

The twist asa are really only meant to be used with hpa. There are specific on/offs that will store 88/90g for months at a time.

No I've got the adapter that are the same threads as a tank and it pierced the CO2 if I screw it on. It has the pin at the top and I have an on off that I can put on that. It will hold gas indefinitely after I screw it in. I'm just wondering if I can run CO2 through it. And if it will de-gass the same. I can press the top of my adapter and it will release gas until I let my finger off. Looks just like the top off a Hpa tank with pin and same threads. But I'm hoping to be able to use the twisty asa with one of my markers.

That's a terrible design to have a 1/2 inch gap. Wouldn't you also lose air thus power due to that gap? I'm glad you gave the knowledge and ability to fix that issue, but most people buying this kit probably wouldn't have the ability to fix it, or even know about it.

I mean let’s think about Umarex for a minute. They do ship products worldwide so if they have in-fact made a great launcher to barrel seal it might put their design outside of legal limits in many places. This could be a serious legal problem for them.

We know what tuning barrels do and dollars to donuts they do to so the gap was intentional. With a gap one must account for deviations hence the uber sloppy bore.
