Can't they deflate the situation without the use of a gun? What is even the likelihood of someone threatening being in the boot after all the suspicious people were situated in the car, anyway? What, did the criminals tell one of their guys to hide in the uncomfortable boot to sneak attack the police? Yeah, you can have your guns drawn while opening the boot, but to actually fire without knowing what you are shooting at is...concerning. Does the police force where you live just hand over guns to anyone who walks in and applies to be an officer without proper extensive training? Can citizens where you live just walk into a gun shop and buy a gun so easily without a background check, a permit, license, or training? Or is being able to afford it enough?
