ALL of the Bible is about Jesus in one way or another. God and Jesus are one, so when God says something, it's the same as if Jesus says something. The prophets prophesied of the coming Lord who we worship. And some of the old testament characters were types of Christ. The red letters of the gospel are obviously the most direct and potent teachings of Jesus, but by no means do they diminish the value of the rest.

Agreed. But we should plug Jesus' name in the whole Bible everywhere. It was Jesus' Spirit that made the holy people holy. So we can glean aspects and mental pictures of Jesus from them. As for their wickedness, the heavy rebukes people heard are what was leveled at Jesus while on the cross that made Him the greatest of burnt offerings and burned His soul to nothing. This was simulated by the red heifer that was burned to ash -- hyper-pure remnants of Christ, the heifer of God. All that they heard individually He heard collectively all at once. We need to use every opportunity to see Jesus. John 6:40 says that the comprehension of His extraordinary efforts to save us and win us back give us eternal life.
