Monica is one of the best singers in history. She is one of the singers with the most vocal power in the recording industry and very versatile. In the 90's she influenced the world of music. Her videos were way ahead of her time and were banned in several countries, she wore bicolor hair, just like other singers do today... She was always way ahead of her time. Pavarotti was surprised at her and invited her to sing with hers. Is one of the best voices out there today. She is Catalan, from Figueres, province of Girona. If you want to hear her sing in her native language you can listen to "Avui vull agrair (Amazing Grace)". It was shot in the church of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona by a Catalan television program called "La Marató de TV3".

Btw - one tip about learning Spanish, it’s written & read pretty much the way it is pronounced. This is unlike English where many words are spoken very differently than how they are written. I love a woman with a deep voice. I guess I would say though if I had only heard it, I would have thought it was a man singing. It’s funny Ginger, you talked about your Spanish being bad, and being from Canada, you can relate to having to take French in school. When I was going to school it was mandatory until 10th grade. I could speak, read and write it fairly well, but I never used it once in the real world. I have retained more Spanish from a dozen years living in California decades ago because I used it more.
