Loving the outro and the talking as the music rises! Really inspiring to be honest :D I hope you continue making these videos, you are very good with talking in a way that make us(me) understand everything easier. Also, do you have a plan on releasing the "gto blueprint" you were working on? I allready have screenshotted the basics: Macroanalysis, Meso, Micro and Final Decision.

everytime I have top top or use as a blockers in cash game, seems to run in to to opponents top of the range... of two combos top sets :D and once I make a move - then realise all the blockers makes no sense :D :D :D but its great video, love the analysis
@MrWeenuk214 жыл бұрын
if you are using blockers to establish “okay he cant have this straight draw or this flush draw” then when he raises you its him basically saying he has different value then what you’re blocking

None of this will work unless you have conservative bankroll management. To play gto you need to be comfortable losing the whole buy in certain situations which can only come from having enough bankroll.

I used simple postflop for this one because I used their ranges for preflop and it's a different system than piosolver. I will use piosolver again (thought probably for not the next video).

I hate when solvers have competing logic like that. One of the main reasons why we have a tight range in the SB is because there is BB left to act afterwards, and they're going to be annoying to us if we're too loose by 3betting and calling a lot (good odds) and making our life hell out of position. If we now say that BB has to play tighter because of our tight range than they would with only the OR in play, then the main reason for us to be tight in the SB is nullified. If we know that BB is doing that, can't we play looser from the SB again? And then we're right back into exploitative play and that's what we were trying to escape. I don't really see how a GTO strategy can do something like altering its continuation frequency based on the perceived strength of a position's range. I would choose different hands to continue, but I would still call with a frequency based on my pot odds rather than my assumptions.
@albertmacia64794 жыл бұрын
Its not based on the perceived strenght of the SB, but in the fact that it is a multiway pot instead of a HU one. And still, those ranges will not be GTO but only estimations to it, since GTO hasnt been solved for multiway pots (as far as i know). Still , i think its perfectly logical for GTO to defend tighter in the BB in that spot. Yes, you have direct better pot odds, but your overall equity and equity realisation in a 3way pot will be much lower than in a heads up one.
@OsefKincaid4 жыл бұрын
@@albertmacia6479 I doubt that's true. If you ran the same sim with the same method giving SB any two (or just a large range), you'd get a different frequency of continuation for the BB I'm pretty sure. Would be happy to be corrected on this if I'm wrong.
@FindingEquilibrium4 жыл бұрын
Yes, sometimes you can go down a rabbit hole because the logic seems circular almost, but the truth is there is no actual logic or strategy. The solver just tries every possible strategy millions(billions?) of times until it settles on the on the strategies that are optimal/unexploitable. The "logic" that I and other apply is really just to rationalize the patterns we see in the solutions.

@Gos12345674 жыл бұрын
@@OsefKincaid Just go to any odds calc and put in AKs v one random hand,then Aks v 2 random hands. Albert M is correct about equity lowering but the main thing is equity realisation is much harder.PFR bets,well even in the BB if you think hes bluffing you cant call with too many marginal hands if the SB has called also,even if SB has folded the fact that the PFR has bet into two players makes your marginal hand look way worse now than if heads up.

what can I do to understand this videos?

@Gos12345674 жыл бұрын
Why is it when Linus goes against the solvers strat i prefer Linus's way?Seems counter intuitive to bet again on the turn,I suppose most humans would naturally check back the turn there and well pros will call the river as button can have lots of bluffs.
