Tori Amos is a true genius. Her music is different but at the same time fantastic.

what an absolutely charming interview...i think that's the first time i've seen a host show video footage as a "gift" to one of their guests :) - to see tori's face light up like that was priceless!

The way she describes Judy's style is exactly what she does to us, Tori can be singing to a massive audience and she'll make you feel like she's playing just for you. I hope she's immortal 🥰😍😘

This has been heavily edited down. Jools didn't just stop her in the middle of sentence or anything originally. You can see the cuts.

It's just jools way and he actually likes people who are different so would not have thought tori was a freak, the English just arent as gushing. Tori's music is quite amazing and still continues to be so xxxx

She was! Accepted at 5yrs old.. they wanted her to play "Mary had a little lamb" but she was already playing some of the *CLASSICAL LEGENDS 'pieces of work'..... Then she got in shit when that's ALL they wanted her to play, but she's grown up (12-13) & wanted to play *rock n roll, argued the point.. & got kicked out.

That's right!! The Peabody Conservatory rarely accepted 5 year olds....but 5 year Olds can rarely play Mozart. A child prodigy no doubt 🌈

@@sakurabloom4863 IKR! 😊 She is sooooo AMAZING!!!!!! She is my favourite female artist and has been since her first album, LITERALLY.. THE day it was *released here, (Melbourne, Australia).. & the circumstances at the time..(Was walking home, tripping out, & in shock after seeing & having lunch with my mum & telling her, as I had JUST found out myself, that I was pregnant.) As I was only 16 & living in a Youth Homeless/school housing project 'share flat' with another student my age, near the 'university level'- academy of performing arts.. that I was so lucky to have won a full scholarship to-thankfully. Anyway....my mum took it waay better than I thought she would, so I was relieved but still freaking out about being pregnant-so young, and knowing I would be a single mum for at least (90-100% of the time)..: & trying to work out IF I could even stay in school because my due date was right in the middle of the end of year, final EXAMS! .. my DAD! - knowing mum was telling him for me- so, how he'd REACT when finding out, despite kicking me out at 13yrs old.. *(so I couldn't get kicked out AGAIN!! Lol) but , well.. still, you know, just a SWIRLING RACING MIND trying to process it all, when *RIGHT ON CUE, walking past a music store, I noticed and took interest in the CD cover & this *fellow 'red head' musician I'd never seen or heard of. I walked in and the shop was like the windows & advertising boards out the front -TORI AMOS-Debut album *posters and banners etc, EVERYWHERE. They have this wall with a bench and headphones lined up to pre-hear any CD you wanted to, so of course, I had to. OMG!! as I was reading ahead (CD insert) and seeing the song titles & already LOVING what I was was already hearing, then seeing "Mother" & the lyrics & the ...."red head circus girl, without a safety net".... Which I literally was, (hence the academy I was on a scholarship at), & say no more. I bought & took that CD home & absolutely DEVOURED IT, and was in tears of so many emotions & JOY. I have been the same with every album. She literally came on to the scene at the time I needed something like that. It helped me deal with & stay myself & as so many do..her ability to make it sound like a certain song or more..are just for (or about) you, etc. Don't worry, I know they aren't. 😋 The closest I've been is a few hugs & photos and CD's signed with a msg for me, & my daughter..& 5yr younger son. 😍👐😊
