I visited the beautiful island of Sri Lanka 7 years ago and stayed in Unawatuna not far from Galle. Great hotel the Tropical Garden which was approx 5 minute walk from the beach. Well looked after, great attentive staff. All the people were genuniely friendly, great people, nothing too much trouble. One sad note i think they are still recovering from the tsunami of 2004, I was speaking to hawkers on the beach who were just starting all over again as there businesses were decimated along unfortunately with some of their families. But life goes on and they are rebuilding theirs

I am going to Sri Lanka on April 9th and it will be one week exploring with a group, will visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Dambula, Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuvara Elia and Kalutara. It is my third time there and I love this tropical paradise.

I’ve been watching vlogs made by, Where’s Lucie? She has lived in Sri Lanka for four years working at a dog rescue called SOS, where she met her local husband working there. She has done many trips around the island with her husband. They live in the south where they bought and rebuilt a house. I loved your vlog and was so informative from another persons perspective. I surely want to visit Sri Lanka after watching vlogs about the country.

my uncle owns a chain of hotels in Sri Lanka such as Taprobana, Le Grand and Habitat, and the habitat hotel actually has a van from the hotel to the sea turtle hatchery which is really cool. the baby turtles are so cute!

Every tourist who visit srilanka wants to climb the sigiriya,but unfortunately it's 30.its too much for lots of visitors.its not fair..they visit to our country,it's a big think for us..not only you guys,we also unhappy about 30 £ price tag for sigiriya.hope one day the stupid officers who responsible for this discisan will clean there brain 🧠 and The price will be reduced. I worked with a Tanik girl from Sri Lanka many years ago. The family was Catholic, but behaved like radical Muslims. The girl had to come straight home after work, was not allowed to go out and had to be servant to her younger brother. Then, she was forced into an arrangec marriage to a guy she'd never met. Awesome culture!
