I am from Germany and i am glad to see that the German christmas treats are available in the US. And finally one of my favorite asmrtist ist trying these treats. My favorites are the spice cookies or spice speculoos. You can get those all ober the year in stores or Supermarktes. Greetings from Germany and lots of Love and Blessings.❤️

@@davebrown9707 There's actually an Aldi North and an Aldi South that are 'separate' companies and have similar but different logo's. The company was split a long time ago by the family and divided the sales regions. I think the US and NA is 'North' and 'South' is most of Europe. I believe there is some slight overlap or cross-over of the territories, but I may be wrong. I liked that they would get high quality Euro foods from UK, Germany, France, Italy and the Scandinavian countries relatively inexpensively for the US. There has been a reduction in that the last couple of years. Aldi is probably the cheapest place in the US to buy good food for the money. Just like any place you have to pick and choose. Stay away from the Chinese or Vietnamese seafood.

I'm really happy to see this channel grow and find it's identity. Lloyd's gentle voice, slow deliberate movements are quite relaxing and these videos are very personal. Almost like spending time with a friend and enjoying the small things in life and every season.

Winternacht are really good treats and they have a good range. German cakes, treats, strudels in general are maybe the best in the world IMO and good for Christmas. Lloyds relaxing presentation of them is hands down the best way of getting introduced to them.

You've pronounced the Spekulatius right! :) Also, I was so happy to see you try those treats. Often when people try treats from other countries, the treats are not that well known to the people that are from that country. But in this case I knew every single one really well and everyone loves them in Germany!

Made the pfeffernuese or pepper nut a couple years ago mostly uses pepper but worth doing once strong flavor middle.ages recipe.

That Aldi German food is pretty good high quality stuff. Been buying it for years. They used to have a lot of good European sources. Now you have to be careful. Got some 'German' pickles and when I looked at the label it said 'Inspired by Germany' 'Made in India". No thanks. Not having any Indian pickles. I DO like true Indian spicy pickle mix, just not the German knock offs.
