Ford Fiesta Mk6 ST150 thermostat housing change and coolant rinse

So in this video I am looking to add a new alternator belt cover as mine is missing and attempt to change the thermostat housing on the car as my temps are reading incorrect temps.... This was not the problem unfortunately and this is revealed in the next video.

Coolant was in a bad way lol, should of flushed through completely but that will do for now, will do it again next year maybe.... thanks for the video help!!

Nice tip with the tissue, need to tackle this job next. Did you have any issues bleeding the system

I had no issues at all with this, fairly easy to bleed the system, just make sure you check the levels after a few drives and make sure heating is on to get the coolant round the whole system once completed

Annoyingly the thermostat is fine it’s the temp gauge that’s busted on mine, was good for me to empty out the coolant though as mine is shocking lol

Do you flush the coolant System? you need a cleaner for this, but the system works cooler after with new antifreeze coolant :)
