Looks a great Gun i like the idea of the weights in the forend and also the look of the wood is top quality, great reveiw lloyd
@solidrib9 күн бұрын
Weight in the forend is a good idea only at first glance. The foreend is basically a inertia contra weight.. the heavier it is the sooner foeend becomes loos. Now, that can be taken into the account by designers.. but I havent seen any sophisticated forend loop solution..so..

Mmmmn……..I see your back in your SHED doing reviews? I like Blaser’s as I at one time owned a F3 SuperSport years ago! I have aspirations of attending the BSS…..and being a resident of the USA does make it a little more of a challenge. I’d love to attend the show……and to meet and chat with you personally! The furniture on this shotgun is gorgeous! Michael P.

Nice review Lloyd. I really like that they’ve come out swinging against the oppositions high priced offerings. Some nice advances though at a cost. Woodwork is fantastic but there’s something about the action that just doesn’t look quite right to me. I’d take the SL2 in a heart beat in comparison if that’s the real competition but the price difference suggests otherwise.

Interesting that you think it’s an SL2 competitor. I assumed because of the price it was more of a DT11 rival. Don’t doubt you for a second. It definitely becomes a more compelling prospect if it’s that good. Look forward to seeing it next month.

@andrewhilditch40369 күн бұрын
Beretta will sponsor loads of shooters with SL2’s, they will win shoots so more people will buy them, even with the £20k price tag. Which would I have, easy the blaser but I’m biased having owned an F3 Vantage for nearly ten years.

There are places where Beretta service is just horrible. People prefer an other severely overpriced gun, just because they get good customer service from that company.

Buyer beware, Unfortunately I bought into the Blaser brand, my second hand 2007 F3 had a full service by Mulliners last year and is absolutely great, bought a used F16 32” 2017 for clays and although the quality is not as good, is also great. Bit the bullet last June and bought a brand new F3 grade 6 which went back on warranty with a clicky fore end, repaired in quick time by blaser UK but doesn’t feel as solid as the 2007 model. Purchased a blaser skeet jacket £184 direct from Germany as nothing new in the UK, quality was rubbish, 6 months later stitching had cut through the leather (ett), blaser advised after sending them the photos I could buy another one and post the faulty one back for them to have a look at. The F3 shirts I ordered lasted 3 or 4 washes and the logos washed off. Designed in Germany - made in china on the label, hope the new shotguns aren’t the same. They have no boots available or walking shoes, apparently stopped producing them and trade on their high price quality but all the new stuff seems crap and Chinese. Very poor service from Germany. Great vid Lloyd as usual, sorry to be mr negative but I think people should be aware buying quality that isn’t quality. Looked at the new SL2, messaged you on your previous post, thanks for reply, £18-£20k is out of my price range, unfortunately thought I’d bought the new F3 for a good number of years but not impressed with the brand. Might wait till the SL2 becomes reasonably priced second hand and swap out the F3. Thanks again for your reviews, excellent.
