It's in a lower key. Normally musics that we are used to hear in a specific key sound sadder when hearing in a lower key! Also this is version is... Slower? than that from Touhou 8, what also contributes to the felling! Try listening to Bonetrousle from UNDERTALE (a "cheerfunny" music), for an example, in a lower key and slower speed and feel the outcome kkkkkkkkk Although this is relatively common, it's completely subjective too.

Yeah, in EoSD...she was, well...yeah. Marisa being one of my favourite characters, even though Reimu seemed a little bit too naive sometimes in the old PC-98 games (she was only 12 or so in HRtP, if memory serves, though) the fact that her personnality was like Marisa's really...well, yeah. @Tayebz Tayebz :3 Reimu canonically cannot be hit by danmaku (unless her motives are impure). One of her spell cards makes her float out of step with reality, allowing her to attack while remaining completely invulnerable. That's her *natural human power*. Then you add the shrine maiden stuff. Reimu OP yo.

@@SerpentYoukai basically, long story short, reimu naturally cannot be hit by danmakus at all, but the danmaku rules does not allow that and specifically made a rule to ban reimu from ever using it, marisa found a loophole in the rules that only allows reimu to use this ability for a few seconds and turn it into a spellcard. All of the balls, and they're all aimed at you face (well not directly). To be entirely honest I think reimu is a hell of lot harder in lotus land story than in imperishable night even though they share a similar theme. Phantom mode makes the IN fight so much easier.

+Oskari “ikaros02” Lahtinen Ummm... she's really easy... on easy. Now do it on Normal and you'll start to see what we're talking about. Marisa's still harder on Normal. But when you play on Lunatic, Reimu is so ungodly hard to even try to beat, way harder than Marisa. Her favorite thing to do is box you in and then fuck you over with a couple well placed shots where you can't dodge.

Good remix for a decent theme that is Magic Mirror (Touhou 1)!! :D It definitely sounds like that because it's obviously a remix. I like this *Okay, I probably won’t be commenting here for a while as listening to a theme, giving my opinion on it, then searching for all the arrangements/midis/remixes/covers and then giving my opinion on them one by one, then moving on to the next theme and doing the same thing takes AGES. Sitchrea Potere i don't know what you are talking about or if i just read this wrong, but zun gets final say on everything, as the original creator. he hasn't exercised this right very often except for things like meilings name(there was a huge debate about it till he said it was meiling. even then, people just say china still) or the relationship between meiling and sakuya(whether it was antagonistic, as we previously assumed, but he disproved that in one of the more recent games, hisoutensoku i believe, with the dialogue between meiling and sakuya). basically he has final say, but uses it very little. if he really wanted to he could just up and change the character. however, like you said he probably won't.

Isn't that just a rumor? For example, he used Mimas design in one of his latest CD's. Yuuka and Alice already arrived from the older era.
