Hey, just wanna let you know you bought the wrong thermostat. The high temp one is supposed to be a higher temperature. You were supposed to buy the low temp thermostat that is the one that you want.

Just some helpful info on the job, some is LMM specific but very similar Most of those vids you see, are older models the, LMM have all kinds of stuff in the way. The coolant line in back to heater core is 5/8" ID and can be a Gates 18743 U formed The coolant line down there is 1/2" ID and a Gates 28460 is a formed 90 deg for about $9 on Amazon. I used 5/16' fuel line also but the sharp bends kinked the hose. So as a good recycler I found an aluminum pipe that was attached to something that fell off under the truck one day. It's a 5/16" OD pipe so a little pipe bender and trim to length and slide into hoses keep em from kinking Y bridge bolts are M6-1.0x25mm flange bolt. I always like to upgrade to Grade 8 when possible The Turbo is simpler with a 6 pt 17mm swivel/flex socket from a kit in stock at Autozone #62-850 $20ish. The Ybridge bolts are easier with a 1/4dr flex extension in a 2pc kit at Oreilly's

I did the same thing when I installed compounds. I take tube backwards and MAF sensor backwards. Who knew air was only meant to flow over that thing in 1 direction lol!

Did you have any issue removing the upper rear left bolt from y-bridge? It’s the one behind the metal hose. It usually binds on the front of the turbo. Most have to cut the head off of the bolt. But most don’t admit to doing that. What did you encounter??

I used the flexible extension. Removing the bolts were actually all easy

Major pain on the LMM, have to loosen Turbo and pry to drivers side to get it out. In case you need one the bolts are M6-1.0x25mm flange bolt, I try to go grade 8 when possible

I know im 2 years late on this but your truck was running warmer because the mishimoto high temp tstat is for trucks that are in colder climates and have issues warming up, such as mine. Mine maxes 180 in the winter and they run more rich when cold losing mpg. A low temp tstat would probably be better, make sure to look at temp specifications

Bought a 04 Chevy with an LLY as a project. Going to be buying the HSP Deluxe Max Airflow Bundle. Just not familiar with Duramax. Does that kit come with anything that deletes the EGR. Cuz I don't want to buy something that I'm going to have to take out later to delete anything having to do with emissions from that kit. Actually, that may be a stupid question. Considering you took some EGR stuff out in the video. I'm just going to go ahead a call them. Just heard LLY's like to overheat. Just want to get around to getting the truck breathing easier. Maybe upgrade to a better radiator. After that, I think she'll be alright.

Help me! I have made this comment on truck masters page without any response...I have the same intake set up on my lly and it spools so slow.. that pulling into traffic is dangerous and hsp said that because I bought the mouthpiece with the intake it is actually a lbz mouthpiece and intake.. you can not buy a whole lly intake and mouthpiece and they would just sell me the intake tube but then I would have to get a stock mouthpiece... never was that mentioned to me when I bought the freaking thing and that is a lot of money spent..
