That is a lot of boat in 24'. In some ways reminds me of a Pacific Seacraft Dana. I expected the Pilothouse to be little more than a hard Dodger, but WOW! With that canoe stern, I'll bet she handles a sea state well.

There was a gentleman that had a day charter business in Tortola with a boat like this. He would take out couples and family's in the 70's and 80's. A long white beard, his nickname was Santa Claus. Does anyone remember the name of his boat. He would visit our beach club on Copper Island in the B.V.I.

It's got a light. Compass is not much good to ya at night, if ya can't read it.

I can't see any reason why a couple could not cruise from The Uk and Ireland through scandinavia, down the danube or Dnieper to the med in a nice little boat like this...on a modest budget. Hmm.

Having read about a couple that crossed the channel in a canal long boat. Narrow Dog to Carcassonne was their book, this would do it in a heartbeat. Brighton to the Black Sea anyone? I just noticed it has a tabernacle on the mast foot. Dropping the mast would be a doddle .

Deck stepped mast. And yes, they'd have to drop it on such journeys but absolutely doable. The Pacific Seacraft Dana 24 (which is comparable in many regards ) has done numerous circumnavigations - with no Pilothouse like this. The most popular of the production run on the LM sailboats had twin keels, like an English Macwester.
