I haven't used LMMS for a long time, so I'm not sure if it easily works like this, but I think that if you want to make a more transparent sidechaining (with not as pumping sound) to prevent kick and bass interfering each other, you can automate a low shelf filter to duck every time the kick drum hits. Then every time the kick hits, the filter should decrease the level off bass frequencies in your bass instrument. Also, if you make a separate mixer channel for sidechaining, you can maybe just put all the Instruments in their own mixer channel, and then just send their signals to master through the sidechain channel. I think that then they wouldn't need to be sent directly to the sidechain channel which would make it harder to process them separately.

I know but I wanted to keep it simple for beginners to understand. I could maybe make another advanced video explaining this another time. But thanks for the suggestion.

Olijo Music personally i use different sidechain compressors for different synths so the bass gets compressed the most and the pads/leads compressed the least
