Love how all the drivers sound their horns for the camera.

They're not supposed to. It's called 'misuse of the horn'. I always did though, if anyone questioned it all you have to say is that you thought you saw someone near the track.

@@kristinajendesen7111 very smart and good excuse to use your horn lol, more ppl need to know this lol

Great shots there. I assume the Caledonian Sleeper at 1:58 was on a diversionary route from its usual WCML path.

That last train is a long one. Nice drivers honking for you as they pass. Wish we had fast trains like that in USA. We need them badly.

will be visiting the states next year, hoping to ride the “Brightline” in Orlando which I hear is highspeed….
@mrvwbug442310 ай бұрын
We do, but only a few areas. Brightline runs up to 125mph on the western part of its route. The Northeast Corridor runs regular trains up to 125mph and Acela up to 150mph (and the new generations Acelas will run 165mph). The keystone corridor between Philly and Harrisburg PA also run at up to 125mph. There's also a bunch of 90-110mph track in the midwest on the main lines out of Chicago. there is also some 110mph track in upstate NY
@mrvwbug442310 ай бұрын
For comparison, most of these UK trains in the video were going 125mph, that is the max speed on UK tracks outside of the HS1 corridor between London and the channel tunnel

@@mrvwbug4423 - If they joined Pittsburgh to Harrisburg then on to Philly, I would ride it. That would be a good trip... Especially without a lot of stops in between. Then from Pittsburgh on to Cleveland 100 miles NorthWest of Pittsburgh. Many people do not realize that there is only about 100 miles between the cities. Pittsburgh is a long way west of the east coast. 500 miles from NYC and 500 east of ShitClogO.

It's not that bad. If you mean the seats then I understand you more but the ride quality has always seemed fine to me.
