The fourth and final day of LNER's InterCity 125 Farewell Railtour, titled Let's Go Round Again, saw it operate between Leeds and London Kings Cross on Saturday 21st December 2019. Their HST's had operated their final regular service on Sunday 15th December, but this railtour was to be their last HST service. Painted in their original livery from the 1970's, the shortened 7 coach set worked from Edinburgh to Inverness via Aberdeen on the Wednesday before returning to Edinburgh on the Thursday. The Friday saw the set run to Leeds via York and Doncaster.
On Saturday 21st, the final HST service operated by LNER departed Leeds as 1Z43 at 11:01. At 11:56, it arrived into Retford where it is seen here. The whole set looked fantastic thanks to the brilliant work by Heritage Painting at Wabtec Doncaster and Craigentinny depot Edinburgh. At 12:18, the train departed for London, where it arrived on time at 15:09, bringing 41 years of HST operation out of Kings Cross to an end.
