Once upon a time in every person’s life there were horses that people loved, fed and raised, then horses worked for humanity and created the wealth of people, countries and the whole world.
Let me make a not entirely correct parallel. Please do not be offended by comparing people and horses, it turns out to be painfully revealing. A working horse and a working (working) person are very similar in their life cycle.
So here it is. When there were no cars yet, and the horse remained the main draft force, horses were bred, cultivated, fed and cared for. The number (number) of horses increased, since their number reflected the wealth of the owner, the wealth of the country, and the power of its armed forces.
The horses were cared for and cherished. Food was grown and prepared for them; there were special horse doctors, shepherds and nutritionists. In case of war, horses were drafted into the army in the same way as people. The growth of the horse population illustrated the growth of the wealth of the country's population, the growth of its economy and armed forces.
More recently - during the Second World War - the Soviet army had mounted divisions. These are divisions of riders on horses. Horse traction was widely used for transporting artillery pieces, camp kitchens and many other military and transport operations. Riders showed off at Soviet military parades. Monuments to great people on horseback are very common in the world.
But then man invented the machine, and the number of horses in the world began to decline rapidly. The car was more convenient, more durable, and most importantly, it could be repaired and assembled on an assembly line with the required characteristics. And then the First World War broke out. And the decline in the number of horses in the world has become irreversible.
