Sorry dude but butchering that panel cover with that sharpie was insane. I went to school like you did. I'm not trying to be negative and really love your sarcastic sense of humor! Put the sharpie away!

You've gotta ignore those little people wining about issues with your videos, Scott. You are performing an awesome service to us, and I greatly appreciate what you are doing. Great content! Like Essential Craftsman say, "keep up the good work"!

Great information. Add the right amount of dedicated circuits.. It will save you on any call backs. You spend more on a call back, then running an extra circuit. Do it right the first time.

How do we connect the sub-panel from the basement to the outside breaker box?

I just like to see how it's done, i also watch the electricians in England , i don't do anything other than change a switch or outlet and if the wiring doesn't look right i call my electrician, some of my wiring is newer, but a lot is that cloth covered with brittle casing on it

my buddy just bought a split level that has 100 amp service with gas range and gas furnace....he calls me up and did the add all breakers up and total thing ...he thought home inspector missed that .....after i explained how it really works he laughed..he thought he was gonna spend thousands for an upgrade..

PE I installed a light/heat/ fan combo I had the fan/light on the load side of the GFCI kept tripping,
@yellowflash55554 жыл бұрын
Doesn't need to be gfci protected, need dedicated circuit. Check the Amos its pulling. You'll probably need 12 wire on 20 amp breaker
@rodneysmith42394 жыл бұрын
@@yellowflash5555 right on PE thank you.

New code is you can have 18” of slack but strap still 12” from the box.
@steveloux47093 жыл бұрын
That's not in the code. But in some circumstances, it might be a good practice.

@@joejoe6949 sorry, your statement is correct. I misread your post as a requirement for 18” rather than a permission. My error.

There's no such thing as too many plugs or too many tools, lol. I grew up in a house that was built in 1940 and plugs were scarce commodities!

This guy needs to get over himself with his condescending attitude. Anybody with internet access and a calculator can do this work.

But most dont or dont put in time to find out how to do a load calculation.

I think hubris is a two-way street Brian. And I'm going to push back your oversimplification of the trade. If one has a copy of the code book, yes, the information is all there to be obtained as to what is expected. But without training to develop the ability to synthesize all of the different requirements, "anybody with Internet access" is going to almost assuredly get it wrong.
