Load Cell Controller Setting and Calibration

Before using a load cell controller, we should set basic parameters and calibrate the measuring range. In this video, we choose an s type load cell and a 2kg standard weight to finish the setting and calibration. Finally, ATO also show you how to set tare value and measure tare.

Hello, iam an intern at a startup looking to build a static test bed for a high power rocket motor( with total impulse in the range of 15000N.s, i.e, with peak loads of more than 500kg). My question is, can this be used along with an arduino? If so, what kind of amplifier do we need? Will the likes of ATO-LCS-TJL-1 be able to measure loads as small as 40kg? I hope that you do answer my queries, seeing as a lot of recent comments have been unanswered. Thank you in advance!

Good day, thank you for the video it is a great help. Regarding the holding of the "Peak Value" how can this be set ? I am using a load cell on the end of a Linear Actuator to evaluate the force needed to break the bond between two parts. I would thus need a high sampling speed, and to hold the Peak Value. Will this unit be able to do this ? and how can I set this ? Thank you for your help.

Its sampling frequency is 10 times/second.The peak setting method is in the instruction manual.

Thank you ATO Automation for this video. I have a question regarding the calibration. If you mount the eye bolts to be able to hang the load cell, won't there be a deviation in the calibration? Or a shift in the zero point? Is not it better to hang the load cell and then calibrate by attaching a weight to the load cell? Thank you in advance!

It can be calibrated in the plane, and the display needs to be cleared after installing the lifting ring. Zero drift will only appear after a long period of use, just recalibrate.

Maybe you need a load cell transmitter to change the weighing signal to 0~10V or 4~20mA to facilitate the speed control of the motor.
