I wonder how game engine editors create an executable ? You open up the editor edit the game you put some walls maybe with your mouse to your editor screen and you play the game but when it comes to saving that state and creating a binary - executable file that is a mind blowing for me i can't imagine how that works. Would you think making a video about that maybe ?

Well I talked about saving the state in my game engine video (the first one) And I haven't made the editor be able to compile but basically all you do is call the compiler with the right commind line arguments
