Here's the Omakase page on Loaded's website: i.loadedboards...
Check out the end of the video for some easy riding! The Loaded Omakase is a new super-wide, super-comfortable yet compact (33.5") commuter and cruiser. Not only is it one of the most comfortable topmount boards I've tried, it's also very fast and extremely responsive. The concave, kicktail, and large wheelflares make it awesome for carving and even pumping. The Paris Trucks V3 and the 75mm In-Heats are simply awesome!

Yes still happy, and love it with a surf truck. For my shorter commutes i also got hooked on another board though, the Flow Wedge (not the Swell - amzn.to/2SQTBKl), more compact but still with a wide squared nose. It really depends on the kind of commuting you want to do, straight lines or bike paths vs tight streets and sidewalks, smooth vs rough terrain, crowds vs no crowds, flat vs downhill, short vs long runs... But the Omakase is still my go-to board for longer commutes on roads or bike paths with mixed surface, it's super comfortable, carvy and fun, great concave for speed, not too big for carrying around. Sooo smooth and not too high for pushing (for a big wheeled topmount).

Hi, thanks for the review. How long do you usually commute on this? Just trying to gauge what’s a reasonable distance on a skateboard.

Personally I can easily push and pump on this thing comfortably for like 2 hours. Of course, if your goal is to ride cross-country or something, then you may want to go for a really low-rider like a drop-down - see my post about that www.ridingboards.com/best-drop-down-longboards

Riding Boards Do you have risers on there? I see on set up matrix on Loaded website that they recommend 1/4 inch risers with the 75 mm In Heat. They also don’t sell 1/4 inch risers though, only 1/8 so go figure.

Trying to figure out if I want to buy the Poke or Omakase for commuting >10km. Thinking about a pump orientated setup with a modded bennet vector 125mm front and Randall in the back. The 180mm paris trucks of the stock grip and rip setup seem to require a lot of effort to pump. Any advice?

Thanks for the vid! How do you think the Omakase compares to the Poke? I used to ride a Landy Dinghy and found it quite comfortable for my small feet (US 7.5) but am currently looking for a board with more flex and with a more durable and functional nose bc my Dinghy ate so many curbs the nose all but disappeared!

If putting the wheelbase at 22 inches or the maximum for this board and tightening the trucks could this board be used for some downhill and hills? Like 30 mph

yessir it's hella fun. board grabs are diff for me bc the board is thinner than normal. j use trucks over 150 bc they could wheel bite with big wheels and slaloms

Did you get the 165mm or 180mm trucks on your setup? Currently, Loaded doesn't offer the In Heat wheels on the All Around setup. It's only offered on the Grip n Rip setup with 165mm trucks. Thanks.

Do you think this board would work with sector 9 10inch sidewinders for carving and cruising? Maybe with kegels?
@bloggerplot
@bloggerplot 4 жыл бұрын
Never tried it, the Sidewinders are very turny and the Kegels are huge at 80mm so you'd have to check for wheelbite and maybe add taller risers than the stock ones. Seems to me the Sidewinders would be significantly taller than the Paris though so that may work fine. Just guessing though.

Hey man, is that Sidi Ifni? I was there last winter..! Except for the material, is the Loaded Coyote like the Omakase but on a smaller scale? The shape of the deck looks quite similar. I'm going to buy the Coyote with Paris 150mm RKP trucks and Fat Frees/Stimulus wheels, what do you think? I'd use it for cruising/carving and learning to slide.. Do you think duro 83A would be ok, or 80A is better (I weigh 54kg, that is 119lbs). Keep it up, your reviews are great!
@RidingBoards
@RidingBoards 4 жыл бұрын
Hey, no it's not Sidi Ifni lol, that's Southern Spain - though Sidi Ifni used to be Spanish so there could be certain similarities. The Omakase has a much wider shape than the Coyote and is more comfortable for carving and pumping with a bigger foot platform. The Coyote is shorter and narrower, still comfortable to cruise on but it's more tricks focused and has more concave and wheelflares for foot lock-in - the Coyote has its roots in the Kut-thaka which was primarily a freeride board. I thing 80A would be better for your weight unless you want to do hardcode freestyle tricks and technical sliding, easier with harder wheels. Check out my full review of the Coyote here www.ridingboards.com/loaded-coyote-review
