I m from Jorhat.And nemati ghat is 10 km away from Jorhat town..which is south bank of brahmaputra river.Majuli island was carved out of Jorhat in 2016..earlier which was a part of Jorhat district. MAJULI IS famous for mask making and Jorhat is considered to be the Cultural capital of assam as well as tge last capital of Ahom Kingdom.. Jorhat is also the Tea Capital of India...🎉
