Make other videos with the loaded tan tien and the dervish sama if you can bro, your reviews are the best especially about loaded boards because there's not much content out there. I appreciate your work!

@Neil N glad to see this comment. Split between tan tien and icarus, this decided it for me

i have a loaded icarus and ive skated on it everywhere for about 4 years and. overall i think the quality of the board is a 10/10 it will last you a really long time but i recommend putting some plastic caps on the tail and nose if you do tricks because itll wear down overtime (just not like other normal boards' tails, itll never become "sharp" it just makes it look a little older) Build: the way Loaded made the icarus was really unique, they added bamboo, fiberglass and cork which really helps dampen a lot of the rickity rackity feeling you get when riding a stiff board on a cracked sidewalk. Flex: so flexible you can jump on it as hard as you can, make the bottom of the board touch the ground and not break it. Ive actually used it before as a mini trampoline for trying to learn a frontflip and it never broke. Although I dont own a tan tien i think its more flexible than it and probably Loaded's most flexible board. Concave: I'd say the concave is aggresive on the wheel wells but pretty flat everywhere else. it also has a really small lift on the nose and tail (identical on both sides, the board is symmetrical). The concave helps you keep track of where your feet are if you are dancing or just moving your feet around. Nose/tail: dont expect much from it, the average rider can use it to just do kickturns(to move the board in a different direction), id be very impressed if someone can ollie or kickflip it. Weight: Pretty heavy honestly, doesn’t feel too heavy at first but if you have to carry it around the block your arms will feel like theyre carrying a horse. The massive wheels dont help when you are ina tight space like an elevator or airplane and are trying not to bump it into the person next to you. Wheels: Theyre called the Kegels. I had orange the most classic color and i think its the middle durometer (hardness of the wheel). Really grippy right out of the box. They stay grippy dont expect to slide in them. Theyre massive, i think 80mm and plow right over anything. I think its the same wheel they used on some versions of the Boosted Board, you may even be able to attach a motor to its wheels bc it has holes in it. Only gripe i had about it was that right out of the box the edges of the wheels were really sharp and some people have said online that it could latch onto a crack on the sidewalk and rip of chunk of the wheel. its happened to me but it was only a really tiny bit and didnt effect the ride at all, just something to note. I think there is an improved version of the wheel, i forgot the name but its also the biggest wheel loaded has to offer. also that shine on the wheel when out of the box will only be there for a few rides so cherish it Trucks: the go to is the Paris tucks it comes with, i however got Caliber II ones iirc. Theyre ok, the paint wears off on the parts that come in contact with concrete but i dont have any real gripes abt it. For a little more than 300 USD its great board and its more of a fun board than a practical board imo. Most people who are just looking to get around are looking for something light and portable and of course relatively within budget so i wouldnt say that this is a perfect fit for that, however it is great for pumping and carving and honestly i think the best part about the board is the trampoline feeling you get while riding it. Believe me when i say you can jump on it as hard as you can and it will not crack. Fun fact, i tripped and my board rolled onto the road, an SUV went over it and it was fine. wow that was a long review.

Love the videos mate, how would you compare this to the icarus or darvish for cruising?
@OgdenSikel3 жыл бұрын
I think the icarus is pretty comparable to the tan tien, the difference being that the icarus is more suited for cruising first and foremost. The dervish is longer than the other two and personally I think it’s a little awkward...it’s almost like it’s a cruiser board that really wants to be a dancer, but just isn’t. That being said, many people really like the dervish. I prefer the tan tien out of the three tho
@AdnanCucak3 жыл бұрын
@@OgdenSikel Thankyou sir! I might go the Icarus in that case. Im new to longboarding so ive been enjoying your content a lot, keep up the awesome videos

Since you said the board was pretty much like a trampoline, would you recommend getting a stiffer flex then what Loaded suggests? Like, I would be a flex 3 based on Loaded's recommendations. Should I get a flex 2 so it's a bit more stiff?
@OgdenSikel3 жыл бұрын
Honestly I think that would be a good idea. I would probably do the same if I were to buy the board again because it helps with the boards pop a little more. It should still be quite flexy too.

Thanks for the video! Awesome! Trying to decide on a commuter board for my kid for college. Dervish Sama looks great, I have the original Dervish. But, maybe a little long. The Tan Tien and Icarus might be better for a college and carrying around. Any thoughts on the difference?

@OgdenSikel3 жыл бұрын
I have used the dervish sama, but I find it hard to determine what makes it stand out...it has the length of a dancer, but has low concave and is drop through(not ideal for a dancer), it has qualities of a cruising deck, but a little too long imo...it’s puzzling for me. The icarus would be great for cruising tho

Salut. Hi. I'm a newbie, I have a dinghy blunt, I'd like to put big wheels on it, and also buy a longboard, either a drop cat 38 (I like the rocker and very low to the ground) or a tan tien d' cheap occasion to me. I figure the tan tien might be better with the kicktail for going up curb, but I'm more drawn to being low to the ground. What do you recommend?

What would u recommend between a dinghy turbo, a tugboat and dugout? Looking something for normal cruising and size doesn’t rly matter tbh. Just wanna know wich one is the best. Love ur content btw:)
@OgdenSikel3 жыл бұрын
They are all really good options! Honestly they can all do cruising really well so if you need extra big wheels go with the turbo, if you want a little more stability go for the tugboat, and while Idk alot about the dugout, it looks like a cruiser board mixed with a pintail. could be alot of fun too!

Hi dude. What flex rating Tan Tien do you have (and what weight are you if you don't mind answering)? How do you find it and would you suggest being at the upper end of the flex weight?
@OgdenSikel3 жыл бұрын
Hey! I have the flex 2 model and I weigh around 145lbs. I’m sort of in the middle of the weight range but honestly it’s still a bit flexy for my riding style, so if I could go back again I would get the flex 1. It really depends on how much flex you want...I like freestyling so a stiffer deck is better for me.
@grogers89943 жыл бұрын
@@OgdenSikel thanks! I weigh a fair bit more than you (175) so I think based on your feedback will 100% go for the Flex 1. Thank you that's really helpful. Also great video's btw! Just getting into long boarding and they are really helpful. And the review on the Tan Tien deffo swayed me to it!
