Ppl I would need suggestion... I am complete beginner, not looking for bombing hills, just cruising the town. Well yeah I'm broke and lost with too many longboards to choose between. I am 169 cm high, 65 kg

Boards don't depend much on weight and height, mostly foot size, and personal prefferences

Check if your nuts and bolts are tightened all the way. Nothing worse than having lose truck mounts, it's a solid source of speed wobbles! Make sure your trucks are SO loose that the metal washers jingle around. They may seem fine when you are inspecting your board, but then you apply your full weight to the bushings, and some space between the washers and bushings opens up and lets the rattle begin. Check if your bearings are close to be toasted. We often overlook one of the key components of skating since they are hidden inside the wheel, but bearings that haven't seen any love or attention in a while tend to start making lots of noise and can eventually fail and break. Not ideal while bombing hills. Hope this helps!

thanks. im tryna film a run like this too so i gotta figure out a bunch of stuff.
@ChuchCrew6 жыл бұрын
all you need is a wide angle lens, and shooting at a lower shutter speed. I always film my runs at 24fps with 1/50th shutter speed gives it the nice motion blur but the skaters are sharp since they are not moving much in relation to the camera -alex

ChuchCrew yeah thats my plan. do you have any gimbal recommendations that aren't as expensive as the DJI? i know nothing about gimbals since im only familiar with filming car follow runs.
@ChuchCrew6 жыл бұрын
Austin Liu I would use a glide cam until I could afford the dji. I bought a cheaper gimbal before I had the ronin and returned it immediately, cheap wires and connections, overall seemed weak. The ronin on the other hand is super solid, I’ve beat on mine pretty hard and it still works great. That’s my main concern when buying gear. Making sure it will be able to hold up to use without having to baby it super hard.
