Awesome video and great tutorial on how that works! I’m also curious, does anything hold the back of the can down on the trailer? Or is it just the weight of the can that holds it down on the rails?

Ok so there is a tab on the back of the lonestar trailers that slide into a channel on all the lonestar trailers that hold the dumpsters down. Problem is, those tabs really screw with the dump angle of the dumpster and break off when you are dumping at an angle that sometimes is required and needed at the landfill. So I had the tabs cut off on my trailer. The weight of the dumpster alone is usually enough, add to it the locking mechanism on the front and the chains on both sides of the front of the dumpster will keep that dumpster from going anywhere!

this might be a dump question but ive been leaving my truck in park loading and unloading the dumpster. my truck seems to roll alot tho. does this hurt my transmission.

It could. Never has for me but I have heard from some. If it’s a really heavy load, you can “walk” the truck meaning leave it in N if it’s level ground.

@@AmericanAFDumpsters lol I'm sure it does. But I was saying before something bad happens, like it's snapping. Should last you a little longer. I. A tow truck driver and had it happen. You have great looking trailers. Wouldn't want it to slide off and cause damage.
