3:08 how can you tell if you're pulling the quilt too tight on the longarm

One way to test it is to push a finger up from the bottom of the quilt. You should be able to grab to about the first knuckle.

I was looking at the Amara that Kim was using and although it is 2 inches wider than the Avanti didn't look like it had much quilting space. Can you help me with my decision Kim? @happytraveller89532 жыл бұрын
Hey Ms.Flynn--Vickie Hoth of HQ has a really good video on loading in clear view and she explains directional alignment. My understanding is you want to load the quilt how you want it to lie on the bed as you face the quilt from where the backing and quilt top poles are. Hope this helps...

I purchased my Forte and Gallery 2 Frame this summer and am just now wanting to do more FMQ and ruler work. I watched this video to learn the difference between the 2 views and how to switch between the 2 views but then when I went to switch between the 2 views on my frame it won't budge. When I reached out to my dealer they basically said I'd have to (almost) dismantle the frame to be able to switch between standard and clear and that I agreed to standard view at the time of my set up! Can someone help me understand why it is so simple in the video demo but my dealer is saying I'd have to dismantle the frame to switch between? Very frustrating!

A new video on this subject will be airing Dec 19!! With your frame, there are two ways to adjust the sidearms to load the fabric. One way is a little easier for access to your bobbin area. The other way is easier for doing ruler work. Both ways are great and it is a personal preference as to which way you choose. It will make a little more sense when you have the frame set up and see how it can adjust.
