It’s an invitational family ran fighting tournament to have a chance to fight the greatest ancestor of the Goketsuji (as well as other branches of the family) to have the fighters greatest wish granted. ALL of the characters are some part (even if by marriage or other means) of the Goketsuji family.

Rage of the Dragons WAS DONE by Noise Factory which also work on the Power Instinct (Matrimelee(which feature the R of the D characters), Shin Gouketsuji Ichizoku: Bonnou Kaihou, and Shin Gouketsuji Ichizoku: Matsuri Senzo Kuyou)
