Fun story: in my editing class one day we had the head of the university newspaper bring in an article. We tore it apart. It was about international students and it came off pretty racist in addition awful grammar. We declared the article unsalvageable. The poor woman was about to cry when she told us that the article ran, as it was, the previous week.

I've also been developing my own character from this world, and I already have an elaaaaborate backstory worked out for them. As a STEM major who likes explaining things, I felt the need to point this out: 1:59:20 "'Crepitus' is Latin for explosion." Actually, "Explosio" is Latin for explosion, coming from "Explodere" meaning "to drive out by clapping"; essentially it originally meant booing someone off stage. "Crepitus" means a rattling, rustling, creaking, or popping noise, which makes a bit of sense here, but doesn't quite fit. Regardless, "-logy" comes from Greek, not Latin, and mixing Greek and Latin roots is a sin. Closest Match in Greek is "Crep", meaning "boot or shoe" -- "Crepitology" could hypothetically mean the study of shoes. Izmolla's field is "Pyrology" -- the study of fire, often as it pertains to explosive material. I'll give benefit of the doubt to Ben following it up with "that'd be the entomology for it" as it could have been a joke

So. Many. Sausage. Puns. I love it. You guys are grand, the university was grand, the feels about college we’re grand. The undercity and all its glory were fantastic. I really hope you guys level up soon. Got some helpful suggestions here, you can ignore this if you want to. Ben: I’m so proud of ya! You used that ability and were a fantastic zombie role player!! Also Furry of the Small, totally forgot about that was a thing, and that’s saying something coming from me. 😁 If ya want some advice on a feat, I’d say Sentinal. Serge: Loving the commitment to your character. I can totally see wanting a peaceful resolution to a conflict, and I’ve also had the experience of my spells being a bad mix with the party. This is why I suggest Calm Emotions, it’s a spell you get for being a Conclave member! You create this area of calm, can get people to chill out for a hot minute even in violent circumstances, and it’s an area of effect! Allies can also be benefited by the spell ending a charm or fear effect on them. I could totally see Molander taking the spell sniper feat so that you could learn another combat cantrip. That or the one that gives elf’s a triple advantage. Cam: That costume though... it was so good. That quick reaction to get that simic member’s signature, excellent. All that’s left now is to find that hot guy! I’d totally see you taking Keen Mind feat, that or Mobile. I believe you said you were already Observant for being a human. Ian: I’m loving your character more and more each time I see this. Just the roleplaying you’re able to do, fleshing our this backstory, it’s amazing. I’d say War Caster is your friend for possible feats. Melee spell opportunity attacks if your foe leaves. (It’s really good.) Kathleen: (I know, you’re getting one too), Thank you for this. All of this. Izmolla with the costumes, the drugs, the story, and for remembering that scorching ray has 3 attacks instead of one. Keep doing what you do, you’re an amazing story teller, and I’m excited to see where this goes.

I kind of hope neither of them are Orzhov or Dimir. It feels too predicable. I like that Cam and Ian feel like two very different kinds of bureaucrats, but both very real. Avenir is the sad millennial, perpetually networking but getting nowhere while Enor is the government worker who's weirdly passionate about his job and never really tried to get where he is
