Finally seeing Chiesa was a relief and his 3 shots on goal looked promising. Hopefully, he will be available for every game now and build up his fitness. Playing a Premier League team (even if they are just in it) is a big step up from his under-21s game. Onwards and upwards!!!!!

I think we should keep Endo he works his backside off and never stops. Gives 100% everytime he’s on the pitch. He reminds me a bit off Milner. With so many fixtures coming up he will be a godsend so another player can be rested.

Can't believe people hating again on Nunez. Come on. Give it a rest. I also think he isn't what we are probably looking for but it seems like he is over scrutinized. Plus the conditions in which the game was being played, they were horrible. The pitch was like a mini lake, you could see the water splashing every time someone made a 10-15 yard pass. In those conditions it is not easy to control the weight of your pass. We got the win with a second string squad. Just be happy and move on.

Darwin nunez should not be a fringe player for 82 mill.the most infuriating player I've ever seen. He should be commanding that strikers position..and bossing it. Should be scoring loads with his chances. His got one half of a season to prove he can do it or gone in the summer..

We have done with Chiesa what we used to do with new players and work with them to get them ready to join the team…. It used to happen all the time. As for Nunez…..sorry he’s still not good enough

It’s the opposite. He NEEDS to start these games. He needs his confidence back and a lot more experience to become the CB we all thought he can be last year. Young inexperienced players are going to make mistakes. They need to play through them.

Nunez was God awful again. Stop with but he scored Terrible waste of a good chance before his goal. Fucked up a great 3 on 3 by slowing it down and eventually hitting a shit pass. Done similar in second half took to long with pass to gapko on the break meant he was offside. 86 minute all he had to do was control a pass in Southamptons half and he balloons a pass all the way back to or half giving away a trow in , in a dangerous area. Then in last minutes elliot in space he slows it down and fucks it all up. Same shit, wasteful nunez. I'd rather give the kids his place and get rid off this clown once and for all. Positive he finally took a chance but he is not good enough for the length of time and chances he has had and no signs of improvement at all

How many games and missed chances will it be before his next goal. The evidence week in week out is there for all to see and last night was the prime example of Nunez. Cannot pass, cannot shoot, no composure, poor decision making. He ruined so much that the game should have been comfortable but he wasted it and Southampton got back into it. We are weaker and slower in transition when he starts The only excuse fans have left for him the last few weeks after using every other excuse to defend him is that he works hard. He runs around like a headless chicken, bad pass after bad pass, offside after offside, miss after miss. Working hard doing what exactly. Jota has done more in his last 2 bit part games then nunez has during jota's entire injury period. The lad has had the time. The support, desperate excuses after exuses to defend him, working with top coaches and players and he still has not improved. Stop over looking how poor he is because he got 1 goal. Andy Carroll and even Paul Konchesky scored for liverpool but you wouldn't take either of them back. Nunez has to go. Enough is enough.

People going on about Nunez, I’ll take him over Diaz and Gapko any day. Those two don’t have a clue about a quick pass and also get loads of luck on their goals eg scoring near post when the keeper should save it. So they keep getting away with their bad choices where as Nunez doesnt. They are all about the same level overall but Nunez has a higher ceiling in my opinion.

We are winning in all the competitions we are competing in. Nunez is contributing, I am happy, if however Salah leaves I agree that I don't think any of the 3 of them take up that slack and we would need to get in someone who is going to provide 30 G/A a season as a minimum.
