The technician might enjoy using their needle like a shovel and scooping out the blackhead, but it wouldbe better for the client, if each blemish was also squeezed, to make sure the pore is empty and ready to heal.

It is better to open the bump up and then barely squeeze the more you squeeze the bigger the inflammatory response inflammatory nodules which creates dark spots in scarring and yes I am doctor Google LOL

When clients have large pores I notice several techs just pull out the hardened plug that has oxidized. Without squeezing to extract this often leaves debris and the sheer lining holding debris. When that happens the pore does not close in minutes or seconds like it should. The lining and debris will not allow it to. It simply refills except this time it opens larger and is often found to be infected. I am a retired Cosmetologist trained as esthetician. I wonder why technicians would do this. It makes scarring and infections much more possible. The poor clients trust your expertise.

It’s a very tiny needle, what you are seeing is the super magnetization. The blemishes are not that big, look at the tip of the nail that holds it all… tiny actually! If our face was magnified to this degree our face would look the same… full of this stuff… try it sometime 😊

Because, rather strangely, people tuning in to a pimple- popping(!) channel make complaints about " too much pus & blood " , and videos (even entire channels) get taken down by censors. If you would steam the face just prior to extracting, you probably wouldn’t need a needle at all.

Except for some clients with over production of sebum issues. Steaming can trigger them to produce yet more sebum. For the rest of them yes that and a thorough cleansing and exfoliating is needed to bring the pores to a more “giving” start and allow extractions with minimum scarring.

There could be a few reasons. 1. Most common is if the client is on blood thinners or high blood pressure meds and their doctor has advised them to use medication for the inflamed acne and not extracting. Or if they have kidney/ heart/ liver disease or any disease that lowers their immune system and they have surgery coming up, they can have blackheads extracted squeezing only no needle and no pimples. 2. Many of the techniques involve acne that has reached out to anchor pores. As the sebum builds the overflow backs up and goes to a near by pore or pores. So now we have what I liken to an octopus situation. A large red pus-filled pimple surrounded by a bunch of blackheads. It literally can look like the areola of a breast male or female. Those smaller blackheads now anchor that large pimple as the sebum is solidly packed between them all causing solid suction. Unless you extract most/all of those blackheads first you can push and squeeze and not likely get anything / very little out of of the pimple. 3. If you have a lot of blackheads that are smaller but hard-plugged they need to be extracted first before you extract the red irritated pimples due to the blood from them will compromise the tension of the tissue around the blackheads. It should be dry and stand up to the hard plugs to extract those small blackheads. The skin texture once exposed to blood becomes more flexible and will blow up around the hard plug and the plug sinks as the skin balloons up. (Very common issue on back tissue and Why some seem to sink). They all may look like blackheads but some especially in situations like breakouts from acne they were born with but did not manifest until adult, the plugs are not just oxidized sebum, they are keratin plugs that are very strong. They are almost always connected under the skin in a complicated branching system that causes the debris to struggle thru congested forks in the path that must be massaged out in order to get “chunks” to push through smaller pathways. Technically we could continue pushing and pressing all acne and release more from a pore. Except that then activate the body to produce more sebum to replace the loss. The key is to extract all that is in that one pore above the clear lining of the pore. That “casing” signals to us that the pore contents are finished “for this supplied period of sebum” and allows the pore to close. When you see large pores it means the pores have not been extracted or not been extracted properly. So, if you go to someone and your pores start to look bigger, do not return to that person for extractions. I hope this helped.

I will never understand why the popped pimples are collected on the tops of the gloves? Especially when they fall back on to the face. Your gloves are far from sterile and really need to be changed out more often, really if you think about it, the only thing that is sterile is the face mask that the chef wears. The other thing that is irritating is that you don't pop the big infected pimples, I understand the blacheads, but you can clearly see that the ones that are pussy and inflamed really need to be taken care of and aren't. My favorites are the ones that explode or just keep giving pimples ounces they're popped. Don't understand why, but this is the most relaxing thing for me to watch when I'm hooked up and taking treatment. It even lowers my blood pressure. No, some of the things you do irritates me because of the sterile in iron ent I find myself in five days a week but I am a fan and will 100% keep watching.❤

The best technique is to choose an area of about 2”x2” or 3”x3” to concentrate on in each area of the face, which shows improvement. When the client raises their hand, meaning they can’t take anymore pain in the area, then move to another 3x3 area. At least the camera and the viewer is not jerked around. And the client can clearly see improvement. Jumping all around one here and there still looks like they have breakouts everywhere and would not make the client feel they had accomplished anything. Very few clients can have everything removed in one session. They at least want to see some improvement.
