You aren’t your brain making decisions, don’t you see, it’s YOU. Your reality is a side effect of having a brain. And if your brain is damaged, then so to is your mind. (You are the mind, not the brain) does that make sense? What’s extra disturbing is that I’ve felt this before. Being given a concussion, or a hemorrhage, it’s baby shit compared to this, and you can see how badly it affects how you perceive reality. Even YEARS later. It’s literal psychological horror because it implies our reality is just a common similarity we have as a species. If someone is brain damaged, they see the world differently than the other people, but their version of reality is just as real to them as it is to us, which means our reality might not even be real. We just think it’s real because we all share a common perception of it, our biological instinctive. Maybe there’s things outside of our realities that can only be understood if you damage that fragile biology that works to generate your mind. It’s all so terrifying. This sound.. it’s loud, and blaring.. and it’s real.
