Yes, this is by design and obviously a successful one. This is why singapore dont feel as crowded despite population density is comparable to hongkong

5:37 that steamed egg custard dish is called chawanmushi. i think it means steamed in tea cup or something along that line. i love it so much so i always get them when i go to Japanese restaurant here in Malaysia 😋

If you like lobster noodles, please try the one at London's Mandarin Kitchen. Can guarantee it is many times better. Been there a couple of times and it's the only food I look forward to whenever I'm in London. Can check it out in my YT channel
