Lobsters Unlimited (Cape Island) with Narration. Old time lobster fishing as it was in the 1950's

Lobsters Unlimited is a re-edited version of a film produced in the late 1950's. It now includes a completely new voice over narration giving it a much more professional polish. It shows the lobster industry on Cape Sable Island as it was nearly 60 years ago.Many local scenes are included- a school closing, Hatfield's market, Dewey Nickerson hauling a crete of lobster, Delmar and Addie Atwood preparing for dumping day. This video shows all the older ways of fishing lobster with great detail of pot making, buoy styles and pots setting and hauling. The Cape Islander fishing boat of the 1950's and 1960's is featured throughout.

at 12:21 is a great shot of how you can tell the gender of the lobster in hand(In this case I believe it was a female) It's been awhile now so I could be wrong though!!
