You can still have it. Looking at your photo, you're fine & stylish enough to get a mate. But just as you're going thru this 80's R&B ballad notice what the differences were and are from past generations of black music compared to now. Like Petey Pablo highlighted on an interview; we gotta put the love back into it. Back then it was about love. The current era; it's about sex & drama. Let that be the barometer when you analyze a mate that's worthy of settling down for the rest of your life with.

Crazy how we can look at these videos on a phone and be reminded of things in time. Seems like the artists and the universe conspire to write and sing our experiences. What's even crazier when this song came out - I was so much in love❤ with someone - A. Matthews Jackson -Ft. Washington Maryland. He worked with his family, who owned a construction company. We were young, didn't have any guidance, You know teach you and groom you how to build together. I had a LOT of criticism from MY family. My parents didn't like him bc he was a few years older than me. Regardless, we were together a long time, went through a lot but he took care of me, treated me like a lady. Today, he's a real estate mogul. At some point, we broke up, but years later, he still came around to see me out of the blue with a bunch of red roses.❤ Safe to say I had this music experience in love❤

Chaka Khan was #Vesta’s mentor that’s why you hear a lot of Chaka isms in her style. Once Vesta did an entire UK magazine interview praising Chaka and how much her voice and the generous woman herself meant to her. #PennyFord / #PennyeFord is another Chaka protege who sounds a lot like CK. You may know her from the group SNAP though she had a solo album at 18 before that and another solo CD After leaving that group. Chaka hooked her up with SNAP. #MelisaMorgan is another Chaka protege who sounds a lot like CK. She has a song on a recent CD where she literally sings the praises of #ChakaKhan. It’s way deep, the love these singers have. Very sweet and amazing. ~K
