Yes! I’ve noticed that a lot of folks have 400+, 500+, and 600+ locs!! I was like, “Oh no! Not I!” I self maintain, and don’t have time for that. Plus, my locs have a stronger base because they have more than a few strands holding them together. How many locs do you have? Are you DIY?

Thanks for the lock count video. 👍🏾👍🏾You and I are similar in loc counts. I started out with 243 locs and I noticed when I went to get my locs retightened that my loctician combined a few. So, I think I'm down maybe 3 or 4 locs. Keep sharing those videos. I am only 6 months into this journey. It looks like your hair is similar to my hair--- in texture and count. I will be watching your videos. Thanks! Okay

Hi A’Shasa! Thank you for watching and commenting! Yes, I started out with 244 locs and have somehow ended up with 227! Lord knows what I’m doing over here! Lol! I believe at six months my hair had shrunken so much it surprised me. I have really gained a little length since then. My biggest issue was not braiding and banding! Anyway, I’m excited about your journey! Stay with it! You’ve got this lady!

Thanks for sharing. I love the size of your locs. How long does it take you to retie that many locs? I've looked at a bunch of videos and have decided there is just no way I would be able to maintain 300/400 or even 500 locs and keep my sanity. :) I love the look of them, but I do not enjoy doing my hair. I can only imagine how long it takes to retie 500 locs .

Hey Daysha! It takes me only about 3 hours to Retie my hair. I use a loc tool because it is faster than a crochet hook. I be chilling watching KZbin videos while I retie. Maybe I would be faster if I didn’t, lol. I’m sure you’ll find the perfect situation for you. Most loctitians can finish 400 locs in 2.5 hours.

@@DanaLynnette do you do 2 pt rotation? I have 246 and my first retie took 8 hrs but, I do 2 pt.
