Alonza Tehuti Evans discusses Prince Hall Freemasonry, the oldest recognized and continuously active organization founded by African Americans. As early as 1784 it laid the foundation for African American citizenship, education and the improvement of the social and economic condition of blacks.
Speaker Biography: Alonza Tehuti Evans, past grand historian and archivist of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia, is co-author of "The History of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, District of Columbia, 1823-2014."
