Decreasing the onset action of the anesthesia, as vasoconstrictors need to be preserved from oxidation, we add preservative such as sodium bisulfite, and that result decreasing in the pH of LA, thus making when injecting the tissue acidic -> decreasing the ability of the LA salts to pass through the cell membrane!

Cannot be use in patients with Cardiac Problem..(causes vasoconstriction and increases BP, cardiac stimulation) Which may worsen the condition. But in LA the concentration is so minimal that it can be used without any problem.. Absolute Contraindication :Patients with Bisulphite allergy.. use LA without Vasoconstriction.
