I loved visiting the shop and talking with John Jr. Their’s is my favorite clock shop on the planet.

P.S. I just took delivery of my first Delaney's antique clocks - she's an E.N. Welch octagonal "Schoolhouse" clock, the "Axtell" model. I could not be more excited! Thanks, Sean...

Enjoyed seeing this - and, I'm still reeling from trying to take in all of the wonderful old clocks on your website. My dream since I was a youngster has been to be the guardian of a tall-case clock. Maybe someday soon...(?)

I became an amateur collector of American clocks when I lived in The States and even taught myself to repair the movements to a degree if the work was not too involved. I never came close to owning any as great as those in this video. Two of the best I'd ever owned and repaired were an Eli Terry pillar and scroll and a Silas Hoadley wooden works tall clock. Now in Europe I've had to satisfy myself with a French comtoise case clock and a few porticos to keep the relaxing chime of old clocks in the house. The saddest thing I find is that most Europeans have little knowledge of America's fine clock making history or any desire to give it the respect it deserves. Personally I think if I ever visited this particular shop and cast my eyes on Simon Willard Lighthouse Clock I'd probably need smelling salts to revive me.
