Local history in Freshwater, Isle of Wight

I do love a bit of local history & found out our local supermarket was once the village cinema.
By the side of the supermarket I found a sign asking cinema patrons not to leave their bicycles in the passageway.
Also found a newspaper advert for the cinema from 1942 saying it was showing the film ‘The Forest Ranger’

Oh how I wish for those times! I wasn't alive then but I long for something like that. I adore 1940's fashions and clothes etc and I have a lot of things fashioned after that period in time..
