Very cute cafe, reminded me of so many anime tropes. Also the canal ride looked so peaceful and beautiful.

It definitely felt like we should have had a handsome butler-type waiter for sure 😆

Yah, love Kissaten, they are great👌 cosey and delicious. A bit of a time warp also.😂

I also recommend Kurasaki. Its a great day out. For those doing JR Pass, its a short detour from Okayama, maybe 10 mins on local train then a 10-15 min walk through a covered shopping centre to the old town.

You guys made me remember the omurice I ate from Kichi Kichi Omurice in Kyoto. I have never been ko Kurashiki but I will bookmark the town so I can go there on my next visit to Japan.
I wish I'd gone there now! Kurashiki was on my list of maybes for a day trip from Osaka but in the end I didn't have time. Always a place for next time... 😝

It’s been one of those “someday” places forever for me too haha I’m glad we finally went! It was much better than I expected!
It is interesting that being a port city brings out so many different architectural styles and foreign influences. It makes sense, but still a bit of a shock to see it all jumbled together. It's nice they've preserved their history, and features such as the outstanding Kissaten food from times gone by.

I think the most striking jumble of cultures was the denim kimono! I'd love to try one on someday (possibly for another coffee and ice cream date 😆)
What the FLIP!? I haven’t been here in ages but you’re getting like a billion views per video! So happy for you! I hope you remember me but I usually comment on the videos and I consider myself your biggest fan despite admitting I’m not here that often and I take full responsibility for your success! I hope you read this as I genuinely think you’re both great and I’m so happy you’re doing well. I doubt you’ll see this now as you’re obviously too busy sipping champagne in a hot tub with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise.

Haha awh thank you!! 🥺🥰 Even without the pup profile pic (I think??), we definitely remember the username! Thank you for stopping by again and for sharing our happiness 🥹 we think you’re great for remembering us too! ❤️ Still a way to go until any sipping of champagne with the stars, but a beer in the onsen van is like basically the same thing, right?? 😅

@@OshareJapan you’re already living a much more successful/interesting life than the majority of people so you should be proud! I’ll continue to watch and support! PS I’d like to apologise for my language in my previous message. It’s not like me to use such words as ‘flip’ so I’m not only disappointed in myself but also quite frankly embarrassed for you that the message will remain there. I’ll try harder, I’m sorry again! I just can’t flippin’ help myself sometimes OH I’ve DONE IT AGaINNNN

I found it funny that 珈琲 ウエダ has "coffee" in Kanji and "Ueda" in Katakana.
