7:23 here’s a story for ya: was fishing at a beach for trevally but a barracuda takes my lure and when I got him to the beach one hook was in the belly and I saw that the lure was half the size of the barraccuda

Haha. Always something strange.

I'm glad you explained the rail rod theory. I aways thought the reason people did that was they had the upper body strength of a 5 year old since most people work in a cubicle. Rush was certainly breaking a sweat on his rail rod fish.
@LocalKnowledge4 жыл бұрын
It's absolutely harder than using a harness or a chair. We don't do it because it's easier but because it allows you to fish multiple anglers on big fish, from a dead boat.

Dumb question here but just wondering if those engine covers are typical during operations or is that because of promotional/marketing rules with your sponsor Evinrude?

Fishermen who take it seriously, do so because they realise that fish are living animals. It is jsut the same as hunting and should be taken seriously. Too many rigs in the ocean too many poorely treated and released fish. It's easy to say dont be too serious when you are in some amazing untouched fishery, but if you live in places where over fishing and bad practices have destroyed it then you take it seriously.
@LocalKnowledge4 жыл бұрын
You're missing the message. We don't take OURSELVES seriously as fishermen. We go out and enjoy all the ocean has to offer. Ali is a leader in conservation on the West Coast dedicated much of his free time to protecting the fishery he loves. Thanks for watching.
