First of all, tax dollars don’t actually pay for things. That is a common misconception. If taxes were necessary, we wouldn’t be 37 trillion in federal debt, collective trillions more in states’ debt, trillions more in collective debt belonging to cities and have an estimated 150 trillion in unfunded federal liabilities. Everything is paid for with unsustainable debt, not taxation. The point of taxation is a government can coerce the public into paying with the threat of prison under the illusion that it’s necessary for the government to function and require the only way to pay the tax is via the government-issued fiat. This gives the currency an inherent value and power to said government that controls the printing press. This is essentially the same for every country in the world. For perspective, keep in mind the global GDP is just above 100 trillion. Taxation without a balanced budget is quite literally just a form of oppression and I guarantee Trump, and likely every single future president, will never have a balanced budget. Second of all, I’m incredibly pro-deportation of illegal aliens and believe they are all felons by definition. Yet even I am aware that they tend to contribute fairly to the scam known as taxation and their mass deportation will significantly hurt the economy in the relative short term (although will greatly improve in the long term).
