a friend of mine showed me their original concert à l'emporter a few years back and that is when I got hooked on la Blogotheque. I think their amazing harmonies are extremely well suited to the more minimal format la blogotheque works in. Listen to the album itself, they've got a more distinct sound. The stripped down versions render a lot of artists to seem more similar than they are; these just highlight the melodies and writing, probably bear bigger meaning to those who already know and appreciate the artist.
