That was an incredible video guys. Amazing gameplay that had a different style on each part. Some truly jaw dropping clips (Tast double exterm on narrows, ricochet triple to tac exterm, nosc naire on cold storage). The edit was really unique though. I loved how each part had its own unique feel and vibe to it. Your angle work in this was insane too Geoff. Really insane tage, best H3 tage I have watched in a long long time. Well done.

Can't thank you enough for not showing me one single render from my part. Kept me being more and more stoked on the release. At some times, I even forgot about some of my clips, lol. I love the fact that I got to be a part of this huge video! The phone call between me and Dutchy made me laugh, haha "...YO". Fucking loved every part of this video, especially Nabes. ***** each to their own opinion but to me, every angle was recorded so smoothly and then edited together seamlessly. i didnt feel that any of these angles detracted from the clips, rather they enhanced my enjoyment of the clips by providing a different view without interrupting or stretching out any of the clips unnecessarily. just my opinion but personally i was blown away by the way this was edited i found it fucking amazing and it surprises me that quite a few people didnt like the insanely good use of angles. this here editing, particularly in the first part is amongst the best ive ever seen i thought :)

Really enjoyable video. If there is a video worthy of winning the THF comp out of all the entries so far, this is definitely it. The gameplay was enjoyable throughout. Dutchy was mindblowing as always, Stobs had some beauties (Nosc Troc on Pit lifter/QS Troc from Cannon on Narrows/ Nosc Naire on Cold Storage (like wtf holy shit)), Piano Frenzy always brings a fresh feel and great clips, and Nabes had a solid showing as well. The soundtrack was fresh and fun, which really gave the video a great vibe. The effects were consistent, and consistently awesome. Your dedication to good transitions was something I personally found rather awesome. The only thing that I didn't like was how some of the clips were diminished from crazy cuts to an angle or a series of angles. It was a bit of a hectic watch in a lot of parts. Other than that, you can't ask for much better. Great job to all of you.

Local, I've been waiting for this video for a long time. Here's what I think: The intro was fucking creative as hell. If you titled it just "The Wake Up", I still would've known the players involved just due to the angles and most known moments from them. Gave me that epic vibe to the start of a great vid. Part 1 (Nabes) - This is the most fun I've seen from a serious Halo vid in a long time. The song was so good and electric. I loved it. Nabes, a dude not really heard of in the community, put out some dayum awesome clips. Props. Part 2 (Thomas) - Ma boi did WORK with his clips man. It honestly felt like a Thomas vid except with more editing. The song really achieved that feel. Part 3 (Dutchy) - Always on point with the GP, not doubt, but this was insane. The Tast dbl extrm on Narrows & clean ass troc ext on Pit. fucking ridiculous. This was honestly the funkiest part of any edit of the year as well. The angle work was the best in this song. Part 4 (Stobs) - This part made me want to play Halo for some reason. Idk if it was the clips, the song combined with the editing or what, but it just did. Stobs also surprised me with some of his clips. The nosc naire on CS and the nosc troc on Narrows. The editing had a Zhestal-esque to it which was very fun watching. Every montage needs a strong closer. Stobs and Local definitely achieved that. With the deadline from the comp happening soon, this will no doubt be in the Top 3. The angle work is insane, but I found the song transitions with their intros being the most creative thing I've seen in a loooooonnnnggg ass time. Thanks for putting out such a fun, funky and inspiring vid Geoff. You da man.

Part 1: Nabes, supplying crazy MLG gp, and local somehow making me enjoy a gay disney song Part 2: Piano, making me loose confidence like usual, incredible shit yo on the originality. Part 3: Dutchy being himself Part 4: Stobs having the overall variety this is a very nonchalant review but im seriously freaking out, like my heart rate be at 160 BPM. ANGLES...yo fuck u u bitch ass fucking up the angle game. I pride myself on my original angles but honestly fuck u, best angles ive ever seen, i can only imagine the time spent in theater, cus ive been there.Also dat field of view yo. Soundtrack...also fuck u cus this is another thing i pride myself on being, master of constructing soundtracks. This was brilliant, very conceptual. Overall. I'd give this a 1st place THF comp/10.

PFrenzy had some amazingly unique cclips loved them. i feel like stobs has clips like mine but better(super clean but not always the highest multi kills and not always on noobs). wasnt expecting a vid things long. love you geoff. although i will say i had to pause this and take a break halfway through. so much time remapping, cuts, and angles for my brain to process.

I feel like nabes's part of this montage lacks on the gameplay side of things. but when it comes to the appreciation of the game and editing together it is such a good feel to watch and really reminds you of the best days of halo. Thomas's part really makes me tear. everything about it is so well done from the editing to the game play i love it. It was the perfect song to compliment his feel good play style and really brought out Thomas's clips. i feel there were one or two parts where it was over edited but none the less my favorite part to this montage and does his youtube career alot of justice. Dutchy's part is just typical dutchy. Like always his part is packed with massive multikills that have been made look effortless. i expected nothing less from dutchy but to be amazed at how he consistently hits ridiculous clips and makes it look second nature. However i felt the song choice was wrong or his part and the game play could have been expressed much better if the song was different. Don't get me wrong i love me some biggie i just feel like it didn't do much good to dutchy's breathe taking clips Stobs had the most surprising part of this montage in my opinion when i saw that lift trocity nosc i shit my pants and then the sick naire just put the icing on the cake for me. I was never expecting to see such high caliber gameplay from stobs, not to sound like im doubting his ability but it was just not what i had in mind. the song in his part fits perfectly and takes me back to when halo dominated fps gaming and just really does justice to not only stobs and local himself. but also to the halo community by really expressing the best parts of being a halo player. This part was like a snippit of what makes halo such a great game and i tip my hat to local and stobs for bringing that out in this part o the tage Now the editor. Local has done such an amazing job of this montage i watch it constantly. This montage contains probably what is the best intro i have ever seen in a halo montage in a very long time. It was such a original, creative way starting the montage and really gets you into a halo mood. the angles the timing with the music the lighting effects everything is so well executed. I can only imagine the amount of time you spent in theater retrieving these angles but it does do alot or this montage. this is probably my favorite montage at the moment not because of the game play which is incredible to say the least. but the overall feeling or vibe that i get every time i watch this. There is a negative side of this montage though, i feel like at times the editing is overdone and for an un-experienced halo player it will be hard to understand and appreciate the game play given. with that aside, Local, you are such a talented editor and quite the inspiration in my books. You can really see your ambition and dedication to editing and to the halo community itself from watching this. There is only room for your editing to improve Local and i really look forward to your future uploads.

nah i disagree it's all in your perspective. For example, 3:29 which was an insane double kill in team doubles against the best players out of everybody in that entire playlist will probably be overlooked by most people as just a shitty double kill. but that is an incredible clip. I actually think they all equally offered some of the best gameplay to date. Nabes part offered gameplay against some of the best players to ever play halo 3, and that's including pro montages.

Sucky Eh. Not everyone looks at it that way though. Personally, I don't care if a standard clip is on good or bad players. If it's an average clip to watch, it's an average clip to watch. For example, the clip you're talking about is just a basic Snipe Double that people hit several times a day. That particular one just happened to be on "known" kids. That doesn't make it any better from the other 20 that you hit every day you never even consider saving.

Just watched this for the first time. The gameplay was good, as expected. The effects were good and your angles are really smooth and well done as well. I liked the overall structure of the video too. To be completely honest though, I really couldn't enjoy the editing. The cuts and angles were extremely excessive imo and killed the flow of the montage, especially with the slow songs, and made it hard to appreciate a lot of the clips. It reminds me a lot of Mad Max's editing but at least that style of editing worked with the fast paced music he typically used. I don't mean to be too harsh, you clearly went for a certain style and put a ridiculous amount of effort into the video and I definitely commend you for that but it just didn't work for me :/
