Local Work Along the Falls Road Branch

Spending a beautiful and breezy Wednesday morning on the ex-New York Central Falls Road Branch, the crew of Falls Road Railroad's LB-1 had a busy day ahead of them serving a handful of their customers in the rural communities along the Erie Canal! Starting in Lockport, NY at the very end of the CSX Lockport Branch, the crew and their old ex-New York Central Alco RS32 would work Regional Logistics Group before heading east to spot a tank car at Helena Chemicals in Medina. From there, they would leave their train in the Knowlesville siding before continuing with one covered hopper to Nutrien Ag in Fancher before turning and heading back west. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen issues with Nutrien Ag's Trackmobile, LB-1 would continue to the end of the line in Brockport to run around the lone hopper before returning and resuming their local work!

New ballast around the siding at Kelly Ave/Middleport...does that mean rail service for the area there?

There has been activity on that siding recently, though I don't know if the traffic is still ongoing or not.
