I one hundred percent agree with you. Local is definitely more my style. I’m currently trying to get on with Gemini since a position finally opened in my state. And I’m willing to relocate for it since it’s a job I’m willing to stay at for the rest of my trucking career. I’m praying I become part of the team. And every job has its pros and cons… but I see loves as a great company to work hard for. Much love and safe travels

@@thevnltrucker sorry to bother you… but I got a question. When you got hired by loves how long did it take for a recruiter to reach out? 🤔
@thevnltruckerАй бұрын
It took me three attempts to get hired by them. The first two attempts took a long time because candidates were already in the process of getting hired and they have to leave the job up until all their paperwork goes through. A word of advice.. your application will move faster if you have a person to be in contact with. Ashley was one of the recruiters that I spoke with regularly. I continue to ask her was there anything else that I needed to complete every time I send her a document. I also spoke with another recruiter in my area via email. As long as you stay in contact with them even if it’s every week, they will keep an eye on you. It’s when you just contact them once and think they’re gonna come back to you is where you’re going to be waiting.

Appreciate the advice I will do that for sure! Thank you

Been doing this crap for 20+ yrs. Done OTR and local. Local now. Work 12 to 13 hrs come home have enough time to shower eat go right to bed get up repeat. You dont really have any life work balance in any kind of trucking. Only difference is you sleep in your own bed.

Girl, I was livid at the Pilot in Hagerstown, MD when the DEF was out of service. IT’S ALWAYS a shitshow there. Local work is tough. Yesterday was so hard. I had to use my 16 hour clock. I could make more money with QC if I go OTR since they have a minimum pay guarantee of $1800. But I gotta be out 7-10 days 😮😢

Yesss 😂😂 this past winter it was so hard to find DEF in Wisconsin.. All the truckstops were like out of it for a minute. 16 hrs will have me in a coffin when I get home, salute to you for that. I agree with the minimum when you’re out on the road. NFI offered me a minimum when I was with them doing touch freight. So that was a sense of security but like you said you gotta be out a lot
